SMS not working out of country

Hello, I think I’ve done everything right but it’s not working. I’ve read a bunch of articles already. I’m in the US with a US esim activated I have my Koodo sim turned on Cellular data for koodo is off and allow data switching is off Data roaming for koodo sim is off Easy roaming is off (removed from add-ons, although it was ‘activated’)I received a batch of SMS messages incuding the notification for easy roaming when I turned on the esim this morning (other settings above in place). I did not respond to any messages. I have not been able to receive any other SMS messages since. I’m trying to log into accounts with 2FA but cannot without SMS. Please help! :) Thank you!

Review of a rep following the scheduled call

Hi, I had scheduled call back today at 6:30 PST to inquire about my bill.  I would like to praise the rep, his name is Diego.  He was very helpful and has resolved my issue 100%, and went extra mile to help me.  He was friendly, polite and professional, has asked me at the end if there was anything else that I needed, which was very nice, considering the generous solution of my inquiry. I hope that the company has more reps like Diego, who upholds high standards of customer service and more importantly, is  genuine and sincere.

Assistance Needed with Authentication Code Access

I am experiencing an issue with my mobile phone, and I would appreciate your assistance.My phone is completely non-functional, and the power will not turn on. I recently purchased a new device and inserted my SIM card into it. However, I need an authentication code to complete the setup process, and I am unable to receive it because my original phone cannot be powered on.Could you please advise on how I can proceed in this situation? Can not receive calls and text after transfering to Koodo

I transferred my number to Koodo yesterday, but I am still unable to receive text messages or phone calls. My friend attempted to call me but was directed to voice mail and is unable to leave a voice mail there. No text can be received while imessage can not activated. But, I can dial out.WiFi calling cannot be activated either.I restarted my phone several times, but it did not work. In this situation, I am even unable to receive a call back.

Koodo Internet - Altima?

Hey, is Koodo’s home internet still provided by Altima? I had signed up last year, but Altima was terrible - the connection wouldn’t allow me to connect to my company VPN and their customer service was awful. I had to switch back to my previous provider.I don’t see Altima mentioned in the more recent marketing though, so I’m wondering if they’re no longer the internet provider. If not, I’d like to consider bundling again.Thanks!

warranty on phone cases

I purchased a new phone in February 2024.I also purchased a Kate Spade phone case and a Pure Gear Screen Protector….total purchase was $ 112.98.The screen protector has cracked and the phone case is defective. I went to kOODOO  as they are under warranty and now the company doesnt sell these items any more and the phone is discontinued. They told me I could buy another case for a discounted price  of $62.00….I try to get my screen protector replaced and you dont carry any in stock so now it will cost my $22.00 to have this item shipped to me.What a absolute disgrace to have this wonderful service when you buy a phone but only to find out it is a big scam!this is not acceptable!I am not happy with this service what so ever!

Koodo callback system is not calling me back. I've requested a call back twice now and it's been hours and no one is calling me back. I have had the same issue for a month and a half. It's super frustrating. How do you talk to an actual human being?

PUK code

Apparently i had a password on my sim and or i was unaware  of the default until i tried my phone pin 3 x and locked it. I need a Puk code but have no other call back number and the koodoo/telus store wanted 90 dollars to call or be id assume the call back, i have fretted and wasted most this day trying to talk to someone to no avail.  Is there another option?  My youngest is special needs and no phone is very important and finances minimal, i have had this number and phone alot of years with 2 kids on same account.

Anyone else have thier account terminated due to customer representative error?

Hi, I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this issue with Koodo.I set up a new account with Koodo, porting my number from Rogers. I got the SIM card from a Telus rep and they started the account for me and gave me instructions on how to order a new phone. I followed the instructions, got a call back from a customer service rep, confirmed all of my account information and have them the back story and I wanted to order a new phone. In the process of ordering me a new phone, they said they needed to move my plan to a higher rate plan to get the better deal on the phone. In the process, they opened a second account under my name, which flagged both accounts for fraud and cancelled them both and my phone order which I had paid for. I had no idea until the next morning when I called in because my sim still wasnt working. I did not ask for a second account, nor to cancel the first. This was clearly the reps error and other representatives agreed.Now I am without a cell phone for three -

Black Friday Prep! Even if you do not plan on making any changes/purchases

Over the last several years, Black Friday at Koodo (or in the industry) has been the biggest and busiest sales weekend of the year.  Expect the best deals for plans and phones and especially “Evolving” deals when every player tries to out do and/or match each other’s offers.Because of these evolving deals, please give your Koodo sales rep some slack as these changes may happen faster than the rep can be updated Stores/kiosks will be busy and a bit chaotic, so expect long line-ups.  If you only have 15minutes to pop into a store for something, this is not the weekend for this. If you just have any question unrelated to Black Friday, this is not the weekend for this.  This includes other personalized promos, phone questions, etc.  Sales reps rely on commissions.  This is how they make their living.  This is not the weekend for anything not related to Black Friday Do your research, know what you want, get it and move along quickly.  It will be a fairly busy.  Don’t be that person that wi

Loyalty Offer

I have a loyalty offer by text and it says there is a $5 reduction for 24 months plus they wave the $70 connection fee. It then gives options to upgrade online or in store.Does it mean that if I upgrade in store they will wave the connection fee?And when I looked into it online it says there is a $5 monthly reduction if inset up automatic payments. But that is not what my text says. I am confused.

How can I submit a complaint?

How can you submit a complaint about the agents doing scheduled callbacks? I received a callback and the agent on the phone was falling asleep, he was barely pronouncing words. He asked two simple questions for account verification (name and number) and took 1 min between them to sleep. He sounded as if he was snoring.

No previous internet service

I just moved into a new condo that had no previous internet service (I think it was shared) which I indicated when I signed up. When I received the service connection email it said no tech visit required. But there’s no coax cable outlet. Isn’t a tech required to install the coax outlet? How would I get this?

I suddenly got the issue of can’t make or receive any calls since Nov 13, 2024 in Richmond BC, the text and data usage are fine. I login to check my koodo online account, everything is ok no errors, I tried to reset my cellphone to original, it is still not working.

Terrible Sales Represenatives

I received a call from one of the representatives, offering me an upgrade on my phone and price change in my plan. I told her I do not want to upgrade my phone. She then offered me a plan with a lower rate. I was initially paying $60 per month and she offered me $50 per month. I told her probably three times I did not want my plan to change such as unlimited text, unlimited call, call display, voicemail, 70 GB of data and 5G network. She proceeded to tell me that NOTHING on my plan was going to change. It is all the same. Upon going on my account it showed I was paying $50 per month with 4G network, no mention of call display and a bunch of weird things I don't know anything about. I called the service again and spoke with another sales representative. I was on the phone with her for quite some time and she told me that the plan I was asking for does not exist. I don't know if this is just a cash grab for them. I understand it is their job to sell, but to sell me a fraudulent plan that

The paradox of Kudo wi-fi calling

Wi-fi calling keeps getting cancelled. You turn it on when there is cellular connectivity and the at some point it gets turned off. Of course, you find it’s turned off when you go to use it and there  is no cellular connectivity- in my case when I am at home. To turn it on again, the clever design requires you to input a Koodo sent access code which is provided by text, which of course doesn’t work either.So it seems the only solution is to get in the car and drive somewhere to reset wi-fi calling and then drive back home to use it.Am I missing something ?
