My prepaid account was suspended because I was missing 3$ due to the extra 5$ 3G fee. I recently bought a ZTE Nubia Cymbal 2 which is a 4G phone. Without the 5$ 3G fee, I have enough money in my account. However, it’s not allowing me to reactivate my account since it is still requesting the 5$ 3G fee. I upgraded my phone to 4G. I should not be paying this 5$ 3G fee.
Dear Koodo Team,I just purchased and activated a Koodo Prepaid eSIM, but after activation I learned that Koodo Prepaid service is not available outside Canada and the U.S. I am currently outside Canada, so the line shows No Service and I cannot receive calls or SMS.My Prepaid account number is 1000000****6. I can provide the full account number privately to a Koodo representative if needed.I would like to switch this new Prepaid line to a Koodo Postpaid plan so I can use the number while abroad.I found information about the Fast Switch Self Serve option for moving from Prepaid to Postpaid, but I am currently unable to access my Prepaid Self Serve account. The first issue is that the login process requires an OTP sent to my Koodo number. Since the Prepaid line cannot connect to a network where I am, I cannot receive the OTP.I also tried using Forgot Password and resetting the password through email. However, the password reset does not work either. The page says that the password must:Con
I changed my prepaid phone number today to a new number (still prepaid). Restarted my iPhone immediately after updating my number. It’s been a couple hours and my new number is still not activated. I’ve tried restarting several times, even left it off for over 20 minutes, and not having luck. Has anyone encountered this issue? Please let me know how you resolved this. Thanks in advance!
My 360 day prepaid plan expires September 17. If I enable automatic top up with a registered credit card, would it be renewed automatically and charged to my card? Or, do I have to top up by manually adding funds to the account? I see that automatic top up is for monthly charges, does not mention annual charge.
Greetings: I am trying to activate a new prepaid retail kit. The website is completely stuck at checkout and will not recognize my $20 packaging credit, demanding $21 instead. I do not have a working phone line to call in, I am at home on Wi-Fi, and the chat bot will not transfer me to an agent. I have my selected number and my 19-digit SIM card number ready. Can an official Koodo rep please private message me here to process this activation manually? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar because I'm completely stuck.I'm trying to activate Koodo's $100 prepaid plan and port my existing Canadian phone number from a third-party mobile plan company called PhoneBox.Here's what's happened so far:I contacted PhoneBox, and they approved my port-out request. They emailed me my account number, which I understand is the information Koodo needs for the port. When I try to activate the prepaid plan on Koodo's website, I consistently get a "Payment Error" during checkout, so the activation never completes. To rule out common issues, I've already tried:Three different payment methods Two different billing addresses Multiple attempts over the past week. Different devices and browsers. I'm currently outside Canada, but I started trying to activate the plan while I was still in Canada. I am using an iPhone 16At this point, I'm wondering:Has anyone experienced this type of payment error when activating a Koodo prepaid p
The Koodo website suggests that you can get an eSIM when signing up for a prepaid plan, but it also says that the payment for this has to be linked to a Canadian address and therefore I assume that my UK registered credit card would not be accepted. Is my only option to find a physical SIM card in store and sign up for a prepaid plan that way?I will be travelling in Canada for around 40 days and I want calls plus data. Thanks
I changed my Sim lock password and now need the 8 digit puk code but can't seem to find a way to speak with a rep. Any suggestions anyone?
Broke my back in Canada in February was repatriated back to the UK couldn’t cancel automatic top ups or get in contact with a rep so removed my transfer details and assumed that was how to stop it fast forward two months and I’m still having monthly debits coming from my account however they’re not showing up on the Koodo account and I’m suspended not sure what to do or who to contact I’m waiting on tax return before I withdraw the rest of my money and shut the account. Any suggestions of what I should do or who to contact?
Hello, a few days ago before the end of my first month cycle with Koodo prepaid, I had callback agent help me set up to change to the 360 day plan at the end of my current cycle which is today Feb 12.I just logged into self serve and it says my account is suspended. My available funds is $0 but I thought it would automatically charge my credit card on file since I have automatic top-ups enabled. I assume I need to manually add the funds and my account would return to active/un-suspended? I just don't want to be double charged in case maybe there's a delay in the automatic charge?
There is no “Contact Us” link on the *Prepaid* Refer-A-Friend web page. However, I found a “Contact Us” link on the *Monthly Paid* Refer-A-Friend web page. When I make an inquiry, I got a respond email (with a case #) asking for details in 2 work days. However, after I replied with my prepaid referrer and referee details, I have not hear back ever since. It’s been 4 work days.Would I be better to ask for a callback to discuss the matter?
Does incoming texts count against the 400 texts in the $100/360day prepaid plan?
As a monthly user, for the past 3 years I have upgraded my phones and Koodo also shipped me brand new SIM cards. Currently, I have about 2 unused untouched SIM cards with me. my question is Can I give one SIM card to my brother to register prepaid plan?
What are the amounts available for top up vouchers? I only knew about the $10 vouchers. Thanks in advance to all who pitched in an answer. To further provide some context. My upcoming billing date is Nov 8 but I want to switch from monthly prepaid to a 360-day prepaid plan ($149+tax). Perhaps adding ($50 x3) + ($10 x2) = $170 to my account in due time.
I have the monthly pre-paid plan (currently $18 / month) and a ZTE Cymbal2 flip-top phone. When sending SMS text messages, sometimes a pair of numbers pops up on the phone, and the first of the pair starts counting down towards zero as I type, which I assume is some kind of limit on how much or how many characters or messages I am currently allowed to send. What limits are there for sending SMS text for this plan and are these numbers somehow indicating that I am nearing one or other of these limits? Cheers, John Lumby
I’m currently a Speakout Mobile user, but planning to migrate to Koodo prepaid 360-day plan, $100, just talk and text, no data. My phone is a Umidigi A11, and it supports the bands used by Koodo/Telus, as well as 4G VoLTE. When I do the Koodo/Telus IMEI test, it says that my phone is not compatible. However, if I insert my partner’s Koodo post-paid SIM, it works just fine, and I can talk and text, and I get 4G VoLTE indicators at the top of my screen. So, the Koodo/Telus IMEI test isn’t quite right, and that could be because Telus has never evaluated my phone make and model. So, are the phone compatibility requirements different for post-paid and prepaid? There is nothing on the Koodo or Telus web site to suggest that. I know that my phone works with Koodo post-paid, so if the compatibility requirements are the same, then my phone should work with Koodo prepaid, even though it fails the IMEI test.
Hello, My elderly father currently uses Speakout wireless, however it sounds like they are getting rid of the 3G network. He currently uses a flip phone with 3G technology.I’m guessing he would have to upgrade to Koodo’s ZTE Cymbal 2 for 4G? He prefers using a flip phone. He currently pays around $100 a year with Speakout so we are considering the $100/360 day Koodo plan.Questions: If he runs out of 400 minutes before the year is finished, does he have to spend another $100 or can he purchase top up amounts of $25, $50 etc?Thank you for your help!
I have the $250 LTP Base Prepaid Plan - 12GB Data - 3G - for 360 days. I paid $250 + HST up front for unlimited voice and text and 12GB data at 3G speed for 360 days. The current billing cycle for me is 18 Jul 2024 to 13 Jul 2025. I have automatic top ups enabled. I am worried about my cellphone and data service during the 5 days in between my old and new billing cycles. Will all service be suspended temporarily from 14 Jul 2025 to 18 Jul 2025? Do I have to do anything to my phone like remove and reinsert my SIM card in order to initialize the new service period? Finally, why won’t Koodo just sell this plan for a 365 day service period with a reasonably increased price?
i signed up for prepaid plan, and im currently in paris. I’m unable to get any text messaged for any of my two factor authentication even though receiving a text is not considered roaming.Even if i wanted to sign up for roaming I cant because i cant send a text or receive a 2fa code when trying to sign up for the online portal.. someone help!

I have a postpaid line on my account and would like to add a prepaid line for a youth - is this possible on the same account?(I understand different email addresses are likely required for each line.)
The Clear app (clearme.com) is used for identity verification by many companies and organizations. It works by scanning a government ID such as a driver’s license or passport, then comparing the photo on the ID with a selfie captured using a mobile phone. I recently tried to use Clear with LinkedIn and it failed because, according to CLEAR Member Services, Koodo doesn’t provide the identification of the owner of the mobile phone number.I’ve used my phone for other similar situations (e.g., CRA and even Koodo) and had no problem. Has anyone else experienced this or know why this is occurring?
I refered a friend and got credit for only one month. I assumed they didn’t continue their service, so I didn’t receive credits for this friend while I got others. My understanding is we can refer a maximum of 3 people. Since I am no longer receiving credits from this friend anymore. Is there anyway I can switch out the inactive friend and replace it with a new friend?
I have a prepaid plan and US Roaming Boosters for talk, data, and text. Where I can I find out if I will have service in a particular place in the US? I’m looking for a coverage map, and I can’t find one. Thanks for any help!
