The Clear app (clearme.com) is used for identity verification by many companies and organizations. It works by scanning a government ID such as a driver’s license or passport, then comparing the photo on the ID with a selfie captured using a mobile phone. I recently tried to use Clear with LinkedIn and it failed because, according to CLEAR Member Services, Koodo doesn’t provide the identification of the owner of the mobile phone number.
I’ve used my phone for other similar situations (e.g., CRA and even Koodo) and had no problem. Has anyone else experienced this or know why this is occurring?
