Hello fellow forum members,I hope everyone is doing well. I'm reaching out to you today from sunny Brazil, where I'm currently residing for an extended period. I've run into a small predicament regarding my Canadian banking services and I was hoping someone might be able to lend a helping hand.To give you a little context, I already have a perfectly suitable cell phone plan here in Brazil that's cost-effective and covers my data needs. I don't require a phone to make or receive calls. However, my issue lies in the fact that my Canadian bank requires me to have a local Canadian wireless number to conduct wire transfers for my company. I only need to receive SMS messages from them, replying isn't necessary.I've looked into the daily plans and they seem to cost around 16 CAD per day, which is exorbitantly high for me considering I only need to receive occasional SMS messages.Does anyone have any suggestions for a suitable and affordable wireless plan from Koodo, or perhaps another Canadia

Is there anyway to remove the roaming option? I don't want to be charged $14 every day my son uses his phone in America when he only uses it for a minute or two.

Hi,As the title, I would like to switch from current one to a cheaper one, but self-service opion only shows the same price or above. Right now I am using $40 but I wish to use $39. What can I do?

Rogers have had their service enabled since 2017 in this particular tunnel, but all Telus and their sub brands have no access and I'm not even sure who to ask if there's any plan in doing so. https://www.iphoneincanada.ca/2017/12/27/rogers-skytrain-wireless-evergreen/Everytime I passed through this tunnel (almost daily), my service died. Makes me want to jump ship once my plan agreement is over.

I want to preemtively avoid roaming fees, I am travelling to a part of Ontario (Pelee Island) that is close to the American border, last time I was at this location the phone thought it was in Ohio. What can I do?

I was wondering if there is a way to have 2 phone numbers and 2 SIM cards sharing the same 1 plan and account. So 2 phones can share the data between each other.

During black friday, I signed up for the $55 plan with black friday credits of $25.   I signed up for the plan only with my own device.   Now I need to replace my phone and I am looking at a Certified Pre-Owned phone on a basic tab.   I was going to order it online, and it allowed me to keep my $55 plan, but then I started thinking about whether it would mess up the credits or not.  I just wanted to understand this before proceeding.  Thanks.

I just updated my plan from 6GB UL Can mins SFD  to 50GB UL Can min SFD (4G Speed) . What kind of download speeds should i realistically expect after switching plans? 1Mbps?

Hello,Recently, a friend of mine joined Koodo and purchased a plan. When they were checking out, their Koodo representative informed them that if they know someone who wants to join Koodo, they along with the person they know will get a $50 credit.My friend told me about this and I found a plan I would like to switch over to. My question is what information do I need to know about my friend when I tell the Koodo representative about the credit offer? Is knowing their name and number fine? Or will I also require their account number? Thank you for the help!

I tried ordering the pixel 7a and go through the entire process of entering credit card details and approving the purchase about 4 times and when the sms code is entered, a screen shows “Your choice is no longer available”. It’s a popular phone blah blah blah.  Anyone else having this issue right now?

Hi!I bought a Koodo prepaid SIM card, and completed all the steps of the activation process, including the payment. Three hours have passed, and I still get no service on my cellphone. I also get a notification saying “SIM not provisioned”. In my self-serve page, it says that the SIM card is active.I tried rebooting the phone, removing the SIM card, putting it on another slot, trying it on another device, but no luck.In the FAQ of the Activating your prepaid phone page, question 4 states that I should have received an “Welcome” email confirmating the activation, but I have not.What can I do?PS: I paid with a debit card, and my online banking page says that the transaction was pre-approved, but is still pending. I've spoken to customer service twice and they were not able to fix my issue.  First time nothing was changed, the second the agent put in the wrong address. I've tried to change it on my own but it won't let me,  even after using multiple browsers, devices and clearing cache and cookies on every device and browser. 

I received my koodo sim today, but upon trying to register for self serve, its telling me my postal code doesn’t match their records, and I havent received an account number yet. For referene, I am trying to upgrade from prepaid to monthly, and I ordered online. I have the confirmation email and the order shipping email, but nothing with an account number. Do I have to call? Or is there something else I can do to rectify this? 

I am wondering because with my phone data I am permanently IP banned for making a post on an imageboard that I didn’t post. Apparently I made a post that had some illegal content and the ban was made on the 4th of January, just found out about it today. I can still post on the website through my wifi at home but can’t on my phone.A part of me at first was thinking maybe someone stole my IP address and made some abhorrent post and then pinned it on me. My one friend says that maybe my phone provider (Koodo) gave me a different IP address that was last owned by someone who made that post. Apparently IP addresses switch over time and I’m wondering if that’s true.If my IP address has never changed then someone stole it. I’ve already phoned the cops about it because if that’s the case I could be in some serious hot water if someone is using it for illegal things.Please respond. Thanks.

Can I pay my koodo bill via debit card 

So my prepaid plan auto-renewed. On the same day, I changed my plan and was again charged, essentially being charged twice. Am I just out of luck for picking a bad day to renew, or should I be reimbursed for my original plan that I'm no longer on?

My large family has a group text set up that is ongoing but i seem to be always confused as i do not get the replies from some of the members but others do. My sister and I have reviewed her thread for the same group and she is getting messages that i am not. My phone is an LG, so Android. Is there something i have to do in order to get all of the messages?Thank you in advance for anything you can share to assist.

I have an iPhone 6S and I was looking to get a newer phone. Not brand new though. And I was wondering if it was possible to take my current Koodo phone number and put it on a newer phone. I don’t want to get a new phone number, I would like to keep the one I have now. Let me know, please.

As the title states, I’m wondering where SIM cards are mailed from?  Ours has been in the mail a full week and we still haven’t received it.  Canada Post is usually quicker than that for us, even when it’s coming from across the country...
