Download speeds i should be seeing after upgrading plan?

I just updated my plan from 6GB UL Can mins SFD  to 50GB UL Can min SFD (4G Speed) .

What kind of download speeds should i realistically expect after switching plans? 1Mbps?

Hi @SummerSun

We recommend scheduling a call back with the technical support https://koo.do/Chat , so they can further look into it.

If it said 4G speed, your plan's data peed was limited to 100Mbs https://www.koodomobile.com/help/starter-plans-3g-data-speeds

Check the perk of your plan also, there might be a speed boost perk if you would like to have a faster speed.

Just as an aside, although 50 GB is a generous amount of data, I'd caution you against running frequent speed tests just to monitor how fast your connection is. These tests work by downloading large amounts of data as quickly as possible, so they're an efficient way to burn through data for no truly useful purpose.

No where was it marked that my speed would be capped:

These are the speeds I am receiving.

If this cannot be improved I want to be rolled back to me previous plan or I will cancel my koodoo service and bring my phone elsewhere.

thank you.

TODAY: DOWNLOAD = 2.82 Mbps and upload is 0.04 Mbps.

That is concerning. Have you restarted your phone after the plan change? What about resetting your network settings?

Yes i have done a hard reset and normal restarts.

I had left all settings unchanged on my phone.

Max DL speed now 1.03 Mbps.

I want a rep on here to have this issue resolved.

Provide me with a contact number as I will be cancelling my phone services with Koodoo come Monday and port my phone over to another provider.

My current download speeds are 1.06Mbps

I have rebooted and hard reset the phone.

This issue has nothing to do with koodo capping the speed. I'm literally on the same plan and these are the numbers I'm getting:

That definitely leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Hopefully they fix this before i make the jump to another provider.

Look at the quality of your LTE connection. One bar is not enough to guarantee full reception, which may not be the fault of the carrier, but due to reception or interference at your location. Before jumping ship needlessly, try your speedtest somewhere else where your reception is 3 bars or more.

Ideally, you should check the phone signal directly. A number like -103 db will barely get you some signal,  but -90 or a lower physical number will be better.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cls.networkwidget

I will take this advice into consideration, Drive around for 2 hours and see if anything improves based on location.

Then again my speeds are now SLOWER than from my previous plan in the same location.

0.79Mbps? That has to be a joke. May as well get out my 56.k baud modem.
