Are you using Google’s Messages app (or Messages)
If you’re using Google’s Messages, from the messaging app (where you see all of your contacts) tap your Google ID picture > tap Messages settings > scroll down and tap Advanced > Group Messaging - verify that ‘Send an MMS reply to all recipients (group MMS)’ is selected. If not already enabled, enable data to send MMS messages.
This was already set to reply to all and my messages are being seen it is me that doesn’t see other members replies even though everyone else does. Thank you for trying though.
To try to help narrow it down, what are the others using for phones?
Do you not get messages from one/multiple specific people or just sporadically messages don’t come through from any random person?
There are specific people whos messages i am not getting (one has android the other a have Iphones). So i get the responses from the others who also have mixed variety of phones but there are about 3 of the 10 that i don’t see.
However in previous group chats i did get the messages from those individuals so it seems to depend on the group itself.
I know that seems strange.
Do you have an data on your plan?
Robert I do have data on my plan but it is possible i had it turned off at the time as i was home and i will sometimes turn it off for the other streaming devices. I was unaware that could impact the group messages but if so it is quite possible that is the culprit.
Yes, MMS require data to be sent and received. If some of the participants send it as normal SMS if MMS is unavailable (iPhones do), that would explain why you receive some and some you don’t. Try leaving it on and see if the problem is still here.
Beautiful Robert thank you so much for your assistance i will give it a try and see if it resolves the issue.
