I recently signed up for Koodo and have a few friends and family members that are now interested in joining as well. We were told there’s a link to email them to join that will give us savings as well as them too. Where do I find this link?
I know they used to . I haven’t been a koodo customer for years when i was on a monthly plan they reported it on my credit report. I have a friend thats trying to rebuild credit and wondering if switching from a prepaid to monthly account would help. Does anyone know if koodo monthly is on their credit report for an account in good standings of course . I’m well aware accounts in bad standing seem to get reported way more than the good standing ones
I have Bell Fibe and want to switch over to Koodo. The line coming into the house is the new fiber optic, anyone have any issues with hook up or service ?
Hello All,Been a Koodo customer for a while and to be honest have found it to be a great service barring one issue. If you are bringing a non-Koodo phone (one not sold by them) you are SOL for pretty much anything. To be more specific in my case MMS issues. Had a Oukitel K9 I brought over initially a few years back and all was well. Everything worked including Data, Internet and more importantly all MMS functions in texting. One day MMS just stopped working, contacted Koodo support and they tried and tried and tried to get it back. Ended up with a Sorry but we don't support that phone officially.Bought a Samsung from them and then a Motorola and all is well, no glitches. Found a new phone I really wanted (Ulefone Armor 24), checked that it would work with the network and it looked good. Bought the phone, popped in my old SIM and it worked out of the box. Data, Internet and full MMS text functionality.FOR A MONTH! Last Saturday night, lost MMS functionality.Spoke to Koodo and it was sw
checked settings, rebooted, the usual stuff - LTE service only - anyone else experiencing the same in the Hamilton area?
When I try to access my voicemail a screen pops up that says “error performing request” and when I dial 1 it says call fail.
I understand that a signal strength of -80 dBm is considered good. This is what my wife receives on her android phone using Rogers SIMFrom the same location (my home office), using a Koodo SIMmy signal strength is currently -115 dBm. I understand that this is considered to be very poor - and in fact, totally unacceptable, given that I live within the city limits of Fredericton!!As a consequence of this poor signal, many telephone calls on my Koodo phone either just fade away or completely drop outThis issue has been ongoing for many years and has been reported to Koodo Technical supportI understand that I can switch providers to receive an acceptable signal, but because I am currently locked in for the next 13 months, a switch would cost me close to $700!!While Koodo has been very sympathetic and apologetic, what I would really prefer is a technical solution. Is a signal booster an option, and if so, can Koodo provide me with one at no charge?
Today I ported (through a kiosk at a Superstore with a sales associate) from PC Mobile to Koodoo. I received the transfer text from PC Mobile and answered ‘yes’After which I swapped sim cards and restarted my phone. I walked away assuming all was good (phone calls incoming/outgoing worked, as did data) but did not receive the welcome text, and cannot send or receive text messages.I’ve done a few device restarts. I’ve done a few sim resets (remove sim card for 1-2 minutes, cycle power) I’m working on clearing the data that I don’t want to loose off my device before doing a factory reset and carrier reset. I was unable to get further assistance from the sales rep at the kiosk, said it was beyond his ability to help. Anything else I can do?
Hi, the system says that my message #1 is active but anyone who calls my number receives the system message…………...suggestions?………….thanks in advance.
Apparently after Feb 7 Koodo changed some things that wouldn’t allow me to send MMS messages. I followed the steps listed below and it still didn’t work. No suggestions on the koodo forum worked either. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phoneAs if a stroke of luck I figured it out for my phone (CAT S42) which is an android. If you haven’t been able to fix on your phone using these this is what I did.Reset network settings. Then follow steps on the link above… BUT instead of creating a new APN just go into the default one and change everything so it has the matching info from the link above.
Hello there y’all!Just hoping someone can confirm whether or not the Xiaomi POCO X6 Pro is compatible with Koodo’s network! I’m assuming so, given the wide range of bands it works on, but at $600, I wanna make sure before i purchase. Listed bands for the phone, according to GSMArena, are as follows:Technology GSM / HSPA / LTE / 5G 2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2 3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100 4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 18, 19, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, 48, 66 5G bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, 48, 77, 78 SA/NSA/Sub6 Speed HSPA, LTE-A, 5G Thank you in advance!
Hi With the recent wind we lost power for a bit ,the power turned back on and the router again went to a red solid light.I had to again reset and put my info in.What is the cause of this .The router is a boost wifi 6 round router. There could be a hardware problem and i would need tech support. There is no firmware upgrade option in router settings either. This would be the third time doing a reset dince I had uplugged the router 2 other times because of moving it .Is it possible to get someone in tech?At the same time ,where can we all get support easier,or faster .Is there an app Koodo works with?I also this morning had a cell data problem ,still no connection ,I am using my wifi in the meantime.Thks
I own Asus Zenfone 10, MMS not working. Mobile network is own, I have tried resetting the phone, resetting mobile network settings, and adjusting APN settings. Recommendations would be appreciated.
I have a VOIP service for my home phone through my previous internet provider. When I switched over to Koodo for internet I kept my previous wireless router and simply swapped the old modem with the modem Koodo provided. Yesterday my router stopped working and I setup the wireless router that Koodo provided me. I am able to connect all devices as expected but if if try and connected my VOIP hardware then the router will not work. The setup is suppose to be modem → VOIP hardware → wireless routerThis was the setup I had with my old wireless router and there were no issues. Is there a setting I need to make on the wireless router that Koodo provided in order to get this working?
My daughters line was always under my husbands name, we just need to change the name and wanted to put her on her own separate account. Willy they charge us fees for that?
Ever since February 7 when Koodo said we had to update the APN I have been having intermittent issues with sending MMS messages. I have attached screen shots of my APN settings. I changed them according to Koodo’s instructions and double checked them, restarting my phone multiple times. Then I did a network reset and changed the settings again, restarting my a couple times again to no avail.I am using a Oneplus 8 phone with the Google messages app. I have RCS chat turned on, though at the moment I usually use MMS (most people I know don’t have RCS). I have data on and but it appears that the MMS issue is not affected by data being on or off (ie. if messages wouldn’t send before, switching to data only or wifi did not change anything.) SMS has been working fine the whole time, and I think receiving MMS messages has been either completely fine, or I have had significantly less issues (harder to tell if incoming ones are delayed). I have tried sending myself MMS messages, and found that t
Hello. Please confirm that this phone will work with Koodo in Canada and abroad: Motorola Moto G54 Dual-SIM 256GB ROM + 8GB RAM (Only GSM | No CDMA) Factory Unlocked 5G Smartphone International Version
I bought a LG Q Stylo + from Koodo in year 2018. It was working fine with all networks in Canada. But I moved to India last year then I can not use this phone and also displaying “Emergency calls only” message whatever network I am using in India. I observed apparently, it is locked it I can not use it. I have used more than 2 years in Canada with you. Kindly assist me to unlock my mobile. Thanks
My idea was to share mobile data with home notebook. Is there any limitations by Koodo on tethering? Does anyone have a positive experience in using Hot Spot? Are you able to watch movies on your notebook with this setup?Thank you.
All of a sudden I can no longer retrieve my voicemail messages. I’ve restarted numerous times, upgraded to 17.3.1, and toggled airplane mode. What can be done? Thanks.
As the question states. I got all the notifications from Koodo that I'll need to update my APN settings by Feb 7th to maintain group text and picture text functionality. I updated the settings but I've still lost the functionality. Is my device no longer supported? My phone is commonly known as an Xperia 5ll. But the device is officially known as a Sony QX-AS72. I know it's not a super common phone, so I'm wondering if anyone else I'm the community has had the same issue?
I’ve got an older Galaxy S4 (don’t judge me), a few days ago texting just stopped sending or receiving images. I have not installed, deleted, or modified any apps. I’ve checked the APN settings, I’ve made new APN’s using the suggested ‘new’ settings I’ve found in these forums, etc. Nothing works. The phone works fine otherwise.I don’t know what else to check. I don’t have another phone to swap the SIM into. Any ideas?
I am actually in uae outside of Canada. I didn’t pay in time my bill. The line was suspended, I paid. The network was active before the suspension but after The has no more connection to network.I talked with the assistant they don’t call back international number. My Canadian line is not working what I do?thank for your help
Out of the country and my son tried to access his voicemail on Fongo. It asked for a passcode and he didn’t know what it was. After a few attempts his voicemail was locked. So he tried to call it from his phone but international calls were blocked. He has international voice roaming on. We arranged a call back under the assumption there was no charge, but it ends up that around $90 later and much time with a rep, nothing has changed. The rep kept asking him to try different thing and then calling us back. Seems like we were being charged all the time. There were three requests: unblock voicemail and reset the pin and allow for international calling. None of that has been achieved. What to do next? I can’t keep getting callbacks which are charged at $3/minute, I have no idea if putting Easy Roam on will make a difference to the charges. The website says two conflicting things: that Koodo cannot make callbacks to international numbers and also that Callbacks will not trigger easyroam.
All of a sudden I can’t send photos to an android nor can I send group texts if one of the recipients is an android. Never had this issue before. Went into settings and MMS messaging is enabled however no longer showing Group messages to enable. Help!
