I’ve got an older Galaxy S4 (don’t judge me), a few days ago texting just stopped sending or receiving images. I have not installed, deleted, or modified any apps. I’ve checked the APN settings, I’ve made new APN’s using the suggested ‘new’ settings I’ve found in these forums, etc. Nothing works. The phone works fine otherwise.

I don’t know what else to check. I don’t have another phone to swap the SIM into. Any ideas?

Everything looks fine with the services on our end.

 Have you tried resetting the network settings https://www.telus.com/en/support/mobile-device/galaxy-s4/5.0.2/resetting-network-settings?

Is mobile data turned on on your device?

 

 

 


I just found on the koodo website this: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/picturemessagingchanges

It looks like I’ll have to replace my phone as it is too old.

It would have been appropriate for Koodo to have given me prior warning that this change was coming. Time to switch providers!
