Hi, I am a postpaid/monthly customer of Koodo. One of my family members is going to arrive Canada soon and I would like to get a new postpaid connection ready for her as soon as she arrives. When I am trying to buy a new connection/sim card online from the Koodo website it's asking me for her credit card number for doing a credit check and also for her Social Insurance number. Now since this person is going to be a new resident, she has neither one of these yet and with the current situation, it will probably be quite a while before she gets any of them and I don't want her to be without a phone number until then. I was therefore wondering what is the process for buying a sim card online in a situation like this? I am preferring to do it online to get the waiver on the $45 connection fee.
Just want to double check the process of switching from my monthly plan to a prepaid plan is correct as the follows; Get a prepaid SIM > activate > port old number > then the plan will be switched and I’ll be charged for the portion of the monthly plan that I’ve used (as I’m switching mid-cycle) then the prepaid plan from there? I’m also curious as they’re having a promotion for the base plans until Feb. 16 - will my prepaid base plan stay at this price even after Feb. 16? Or is it a one-time deal and revert to their regular price after the promo expires? any help appreciated - Thank you!
I set up auto top up with my prepaid card. I added my debit card information in my account but I can’t see any pre-authorised debit (PAD) information in my bank account. I need the information to meet some bank requirements. I have multiple accounts associated with this debit card and I’m assuming the PAD will be on the default account that Koodo takes money from? My first autobilling will start tomorrow. Please let me know how it works. Thank you!
Hello, I bought a prepaid sim card off amazon and I went online and activated it. When I log into it says the account is active and working. I've topped it up again to make sure but when I place the sim card into my phone it says that I dont have a sim card. I have a Samsung s8. I'm a first time koodo customer. I've tried restarting, restarting my network settings. Is there anything else I can do myself? Or do i gotta go into a store. Thank you very much for any help.
Hi there. My mom in law has a prepaid phone. I want to buy a data booster for her so that she can go online....but unfortunately we made her an account many years ago and don't have access to that email any more.and didn't have luck switching to a new email. Is there another way to buy her a booster other than self serve?
Generally I don’t have any issues with the 2 phone lines I have through Koodo (one a plan, and one a prepaid), which is fantastic. Being a deaf customer, I relied on both phones being consistent, and hassle-free allowing me to pay each bill online without worrying about having to contact support or enter the Hearing world and place calls to worry about anything. Both the plan-based phone and the prepaid phone are on a text-based plan (naturally - seeing as mine is a deaf household), which is exactly what I and my daughter need, and the ability to top up or pay the monthly bill online every month enables us to use the texting-features of the phone without worrying about having to hear to keep our services. However, when something goes ‘wrong’, Koodo becomes one of the worse service providers I have to deal with. It’s shocking how a phone company doesn’t have a phone number you can call to help solve an issue. How such a popular and well-known service provider doesn’t have a publicly-acc
I tried it all, phone reset, network reset, do not disturb. Still some calls randomly goes straight to voicemail. This is in Kitchener Ontario area. Koodo support callback also sometimes randomly goes to voicemail. Service Canada calls from No caller ID, that call too randomly goes to voicemail. I am out of solutions. Please help. I am missing important job related calls.
Hi, Please help me with the following questions. Can I buy a prepaid SIM without a Sin number (I am New) Can I change my Payment method in the future In the website there is a section saying a connection fee of 45, what is that? (I thought it was free) Once SIM received, how long does it take to get it activated? How can I check if my phone is compatible with the network or not. If it is compatible, it should be working without a glitch, right? I mean, do I have to look for anything else to see if it will be working or not? How International calls are charged when I am on a prepaid plan ‘$40 per 30 days’Sorry for throwing out too many questions. Thank You
So I’m a monthly customer, meaning I have to buy minutes every month to top up my account. My plan expired and my phone got wet so I couldn’t update it. My phone turns on now & I just tried adding my monthly minutes to top up my phone but every time I try calling *611 my phone attempts to call out & just beeps and hangs itself up. Does anyone know why that is? I need my phone to be topped up so I can verify who I am on my one drive so I can gain access to my homework or else I fail. I’m feeling pretty annoyed right now has anyone ever experienced this before ?
I already have a Koodo SIM card but it's not prepaid. Can I use the same card or do I need to buy a separate one?
I have a Koodo SIM card for monthly plans but I want to change to prepaid. I know there is a separate SIM card for prepaid and the number on my monthly SIM won’t work when I try to sign up online. Is there a way to use the SIM card I already have and switch to prepaid? I know I’d probably have to call it in since I can’t online but I want to know if anyone knows if it’s possible first
I’ve been a prepaid customer for a few years on my LG G5, and I just got a Google Pixel 4a for Christmas. Will I be able to just take out the SIM card on my G5 and put it in the Pixel? Is it the same SIM card type/size? Will I have to call Koodo? Will I keep my same number? Thanks
Hi,I have been with Koodo for many years. I live in Ontario, but my phone number was originally from Alberta. I have a prepaid plan. My plan says:Current Base Plan$15 Unlimited Text & Picture Messaging and 100 Minutes Canada-wide Calling$15.00 per 30 daysPlan details:30 Day Plan 100 Minutes for Canada-wide Calling Unlimited Text and Picture Messaging Voicemail 10† and Call Forwarding† Call Display Call Waiting Conference Calling*Incoming calls are free from anywhere in the world while you are in your home province. My profile has my Woodstock, Ontario address listed as my address. Does this mean Ontario is my home province and I can then receive incoming calls for free without using my booster minutes up?Thanks.
Hello guys,Hopefully, someone can help.I got myself a famous eSim voucher for my Koodo prepaid. I wanted to transfer my physical sim to eSim because I have two numbers: a Canadian and abroad.I went through the guide and successfully downloaded and activated my eSim. And...it doesn't connect to the network and mobile data. The automatically select network is on, but "Choose network" is disconnected, and I cannot tap on it. I tried to reboot my phone, didn't help. The physical sim card works just fine.Did I miss something, or should I call a rep to deal with this issue? My device is Pixel 5
I went through the “getting started” section, and was in the number selection page; I clicked “back” in the browser as there was an option to check if a certain number was open. When I try to go forward, it now gives me an error saying “invalid sim” and I can’t advance in the process. I believe the sim activated, but my account wasn’t created. I’m wondering how to proceed. Thanks!Kain
