sim card

Hello, I bought a prepaid sim card off amazon and I went online and activated it. When I log into it says the account is active and working. I've topped it up again to make sure but when I place the sim card into my phone it says that I dont have a sim card. I have a Samsung s8. I'm a first time koodo customer. I've tried restarting, restarting my network settings. Is there anything else I can do myself? Or do i gotta go into a store. Thank you very much for any help.

The phone should be recognizing that you have a Sim card regardless. Do you have any other phone you can try it out in?
