My daughter and I are travelling to the U.S. for 5 days soon. I’d really like to avoid paying the Easy Roam fee of $28 per day ($14 each) just so we can text each other. My hope is to remove the Easy Roam Add Ons and just use pay per use for our texting (100 texts for $10).However, I have a few concerns...1) I’ve read elsewhere in this forum that you should put your phone in Airplane Mode if you want to avoid any roaming charges. But if we do this, will we be able to text each other? (I’m not very tech -savvy).2) Can we still use data if we’re in a place that has WiFi without worrying about data charges?3) Do the 100 texts a day include just texts we send to people in Canada and the US - or also any texts that we receive? Thanks very much!
I set up auto-payments last month because I'm a busy person and didn't want to forget my bill and have extra charges. I was also told I'd save $5 on my bill. I'm on a tight budget currently, so win win. I received an email saying "Your recent payment was declined." I have more than enough money in my account, so it is not because of non-sufficient funds. But the same email ends with this:"If you paid using your bank account:A $25 NSF charge will be applied to your next bill." Why am I being punished for an error that has nothing to do with me?!? Basically they have fabricated a reason to make an extra $25 off of me. It's not like I was not going to pay my bill since their auto-billing feature failed to work. Self-serve says it's not due til tomorrow, and I will be paying it manually today. If they truly charge me extra on next month's bill, I will be changing cell companies (I won't accept theft!). Has anyone else had this problem? It's a great example to never use auto-pay!!!
Hi, may I know if I can receive SMS or phone call while travelling outside Canada without turning on EasyRoam?
I have Tab bonus balance of 165$ . My tab bonus reduction is 15$/month. It was not applied to my September 2024 bill. Also I noticed my tab bonus reduction still not applied to my October bill. I am asking Koodo to apply it to my monthly bill. I have called an agent last month for the same problem , it was not solved yet. Thanks
I signed up for autopay on August 28. My September bill has not come out yet. Should I just pay it? Don’t want a late payment ding on my account.
I recently recieved a text message from koodo where they are offering me an $80 reimbursement and im not sure why and i want to confirm that it is legit.
Please unsubscibe me from these constant messages from understandably numerous issues with Koodo and no personal contact to get issues resolved.I can’t even find the way to unsubscibe from the subforum. Please unsubscibe me yourself from all these messages.
Hi!Travelling to the US from Canada for a week.It is looking like the best option for me is to purchase an eSim once I get to the US, I really like that I can download & set up before leaving Canada! However, I'm trying to figure out how to have texting included. I see that Saily doesn’t include texting but Airalo has the option but also includes calling, which I don’t need.Without going into a major rant about what I've gone through w/Koodo w/r/t removing the easy roam, I’m 100% unwilling to use either their easy roam or the pay per use option and want to avoid any opportunity for them to ding me.SO I guess my question is, will taking my Koodo sim card out for the duration of my trip avoid any chance of being dinged for roaming for data or texting? Or do I have to go that far?And am I understanding correctly that by removing my sim card & using the eSim in the US, it won’t be my phone number that shows up if I text someone?I’m glad there are other cheaper options out there, b
I have an Arris TG3452 modem that I run in bridge mode. Can I bring this modem to Koodo Internet?
What is the gateway address for Koodo. I would like to send an email to my text number. It should look something like 1234567890@txtkoodo.com.
I am a Prepaid Koodo Customer currently in Europe for an extended period of time. I am trying to get access to international text and roaming by using my Canadian phone number in order to log in to my bank account using 2 factor authentication. However, I am unable to add an international package to my current plan, and I cannot switch to a Monthly Plan because that would require me to pick up a SIM card in person or receive it at my home address in Canada, which I also cannot do. So far, I have also been unable to speak with a Koodo Rep because when the Koodo Chat Bot sets up a callback between you and a rep, they do so using your Koodo-linked phone number, which once again, I do not have access to. I am therefore stuck without any ability to access my bank account in Europe, because I cannot access international texting on my phone. If someone could please help it would be much appreciated.
Ive been here for 7 years and now I can't change my plan because I have to go to auto pay? Ive never missed a payment.
If I am in Europe with the EU14PASS enabled, can I call or text home to Canada without charge? Can I receive calls or texts from Canada without charge? How do I dial the Canadian number or text to it from Europe?
I came back from another country where I used another SIM. When I got back to Canada a few days ago, I put my Koodo SIM back to my phone and turned on “Cellular Data” and put my “Primary” data network with Koodo on. I can use my phone but I cannot use my cellular data. When I tried to use email or Safari, the sign “Could not activate cellular data network: Turn on cellular data or use Wi-Fi to access data” comes up on the screen. What should I do?
Hi there, I received a text from 4719 stating: (IM503) This number is inactive.I’m wondering if this is Koodo reaching out to me? Should I be concerned?Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
I moved to the NWT from NL in April of 2023. I have kept my old NL phone number because it was just easier rather than having to change my number everywhere. i just noticed on my bill this time that my taxes were extremely over priced because i just bought a new phone. While going through old community post it says that its because of my area code, but these post were from 2022. Is this still accurate? Is there a way i can keep my old cellphone number and not get charged 15% taxes?
I have not activated it and better not be charged for it
I want to change to a US/Canada plan for travel next week (no tab) instead of using data roaming. How soon does the new plan take effect? I want to use my phone in the US as I do in Canada (not having to turn on Airplane Mode and rely on wifi).

Why can I not get over 25 MB per second? Have been on 5G for probably 8 months and I live on South Vancouver Island. The coverage map here shows 5G all around me. I don't think koodo may have changed my cap when I switch from LTE plan to 5G how do I get this looked at and changed?

I’m looking for guidance on how to extract important text messages from my ZTE Cymbal 2 flip phone. These texts are crucial for an ongoing legal case, but the device is not a smartphone, and traditional methods like Google Drive aren’t available. I’ve already contacted ZTE without success. Can anyone offer advice or tools that might help with this? Your support would be greatly appreciated!
For anyone who has used Koodo roaming in Portugal - can you comment on the speed and coverage of cell service in the main tourist areas?
