I paid off my Tab a few months ago knowing I was going to be dropping Koodo sometime this year. Prior April 20th I switched providers. Now I have a bill that states I am owing a monthly bill of $33.30 plus GST/PST for period of May 12-June 11. I don’t understand. I do not owe anything on my Tab as it was cleared off quite some time ago. I don’t believe I owe anything to Koodo. Especially not for a time period of May 12-June 11. What am I misunderstanding? How can I get them to cancel this charge that I don’t believe I owe them?
Hi there,
that is a bit odd as you had left prior to May 12th. If anything I would understand a prorated amount up until that day but not after the fact. Was the phone number transferred correctly? And was that the last line on the account or was there another phone left?
if you wanted to dispute the charges, you can always talk to a rep by scheduling a call back at Koodo.com/help or by messaging a rep through Koodo’s Facebook or X social media pages. That, or if a rep sees your post here they will reply to the post as well. I hope this helps
Thank you.
I just checked the dates … I paid off the remainder of the TAB on January 29th. My cancellation and porting out happened on April 14th.
I will try the callback method to clarify this charge when I have time later.
So, you cancelled April 20th which would’ve been in the middle of your April 12 - May 11th billing cycle.
On this bill you would’ve been charged for April 12 - April 20th, and given a credit for April 21 - May 11th.
You also mentioned the Tab Bonus Debit - Cancellation fee. When you get a phone, there are two amounts, the tab balance, and the tab bonus. The tab balance is the amount that you owe on the phone. The tab bonus is the discount that Koodo gave you off the phone. If you leave Koodo before the 24 month contract is up, you have to pay back a prorated amount of the original tab bonus, which is likely this last fee that you are seeing now.
