SOS after turning off eSIM

I just landed in Canada after visiting the US, where I used an eSIM from another company.  I turned off the eSIM when I landed and turned on the Koodo network.  My iPhone 15 Plus went into SOS and has stayed there – even after shutting off and rebooting the phone at least 5 times, resetting the network twice, and taking out the Koodo SIM card for 3 minutes and reinserting it, then restarting the phone, all suggestions I found online.  Nothing has taken my iPhone out of SOS.  Any ideas what to do?

Koodo Home Internet: How do you rate it ?

I’m thinking of trying Koodo Home Internet (with the 30 days’ trial.)Please tell me your experiences.  Are you satisfied with the download speed? Are you satisfied with the WiFi coverage? Do you see the benefits of WiFi 6? Have you had outages? Anything else you can think of?Specific questions:I’m currently billed for Koodo phone service. Will internet service be billed separately?The “Legal Stuff” says “Costs associated with the return of equipment are the responsibility of the customer.”  Is this true?Thanks

Starter Plan eSIM

Hello,I currently have two lines with TELUS, and  I’m looking to move my secondary line to Koodo on the $15 starter plan.The question is, I currently have my primary line on a physical SIM and my secondary line on an eSIM. If I open a starter plan online, how do I get it on an eSIM, as I don’t have an available SIM slot? The online portal is forcing me to get a physical SIM, and it says to go in-store to pick up an eSIM. However, I can’t find any instructions on the activation process.I appreciate any help anyone can provide!

i keep getting calls from a representative claming there from telus by these numbers +18333903721 i tried looking them up and see ppl saying there scamers they knew my first name and called about me changeing my plan i told them im not intrested but they keep calling me monthly it seems, i gave them no info other than my first name should i take ferther aciton is there anyway to alert koodo or telus there parent company that someone is trying to attempt to impersonate me?

LG Q Stylo + is not working in India

I bought a LG Q Stylo +  from Koodo in year 2018. It was working fine with all networks in Canada. But I moved to India last year then I can not use this phone and also displaying “Emergency calls only” message whatever network I am using in India. I observed apparently, it is locked it I can not use it. I have used more than 2 years in Canada with you.  Kindly assist me to unlock my mobile. Thanks

5G not working

I purchased 2 phones from koodo early 2023. I bought Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Upgraded both plans to 5G service and neither phone can connect to 5G. After a visit to a Telus store and multiple calls to Koodo I have learned that it seems to be a software issue. Now I have two 5G non functioning bricks, that I must keep until the Tab is paid off. Koodo has never offered to resolve this situation.

Why did my pre-authorization not work?

I’m upset that I set-up pre-authorization on my credit card, it worked fine until November….although it shows on my card that it was charged when I received my December bill I was shocked to see I had a previous balance and a late charge...thinking it was just a payment timing and application error - I paid the current balance with the same credit card that was used when I set-up the pre-authorized payment. January comes - same thing previous balance carry forward plus new charges that didn’t get applied to the pre-authorized payment that I set up.  Now February I pay the balances with the same credit card that I used for preauthorized payment, but this  time I re-set up the pre-authorized payment with the exact same card and this time the remaining balance came out with the preauthorized payment.  Why is the pre-authorized payment not working consistentlythis is the whole point of pre-authorized payments......it’s not that my card is declining, because I can get notified by text when

All of a sudden it says that I owe $570, I have switched providers and I was told that I would only have to pay my tab balance which was a little over $100 dollars???? Why is there no one you can talk to at Koodo????

Hi, i’m visiting Japan soon for a couple weeks, and I was thinking about buying an Esim so i can use internet while I’m traveling. Will it work on my phone even if i’m currently on a monthly plan? I could also rent a pocket-wifi device, but the esim looks to be cheaper and more convenient.

tablet on a phone plan sim card

I've looked all over and can't find it explicitly stated weather koodo will block non-phone devices that use a phone plan's sim card like some other carriers do.So, does koodo ‘reserve the right to cancel plans’ or whatever if I were to use a sim card in a different device for the data? If sign up for a plan with a massive amount of gigabytes I'd like to be certain I could use them how I want.

updated my apn settings for group messaging and pictures on my sony QX-AS72. made no difference. is my device no longer supported?

As the question states. I got all the notifications from Koodo that I'll need to update my APN settings by Feb 7th to maintain group text and picture text functionality. I updated the settings but I've still lost the functionality. Is my device no longer supported? My phone is commonly known as an Xperia 5ll. But the device is officially known as a Sony QX-AS72. I know it's not a super common phone, so I'm wondering if anyone else I'm the community has had the same issue?

send or recieve images in text just stopped

I’ve got an older Galaxy S4 (don’t judge me), a few days ago texting just stopped sending or receiving images. I have not installed, deleted, or modified any apps. I’ve checked the APN settings, I’ve made new APN’s using the suggested ‘new’ settings I’ve found in these forums, etc. Nothing works. The phone works fine otherwise.I don’t know what else to check. I don’t have another phone to swap the SIM into. Any ideas?

Can’t access voicemail & make calls while roaming

Out of the country and my son tried to access his voicemail on Fongo. It asked for a passcode and he didn’t know what it was. After a few attempts his voicemail was locked. So he tried to call it from his phone but international calls were blocked. He has international voice roaming on.  We arranged a call back under the assumption there was no charge, but it ends up that around $90 later and much time with a rep, nothing has changed. The rep kept asking him to try different thing and then calling us back. Seems like we were being charged all the time.  There were three requests: unblock voicemail and reset the pin and allow for international calling. None of that has been achieved. What to do next?  I can’t keep getting callbacks which are charged at $3/minute, I have no idea if putting Easy Roam on will make a difference to the charges. The website says two conflicting things: that Koodo cannot make callbacks to international numbers and also that Callbacks will not trigger easyroam.

Name change + more

This is a bit convoluted. I created this account to get a phone for my son +/- 3 years ago. Since then we have transferred the account to his name in Dec 2023, and I am wanting to set up 3 devices under this account as well as needing to change the name on the account as I have gone back to my maiden name. Is this something that can be done online? Or will I need to speak with an agent? Traveling to  Koodo store isn't possible at this time. Thanks!

As a Koodo monthly customer, how do I switch to the Canada-US plan (from Canada-only plan)?

I want to switch to this Canada-US plan from my existing Canada-only monthly plan: “K2T Unlimited 100 5G+ - Unlimited Canada-US talk, text and 100GB data at 5G+ speed up to 2Gbps”However, I cannot find the plan on the Koodo self-serve page while logged in.  How do I switch to the US-Canada plan from within my Koodo account?I understand Koodo is part of Telus so presumably it should be simple to switch between plans within the same company?  I want to keep the same phone number (important), account, plan add-ons, etc.  The only change is switching to the Canada-US plan (for calling, texting and mobile internet).I learned about the offer from promotional email directly from Koodo to the email associated with my account, addressed to the account holder: “Switch to a TELUS CAN-US Unlimited rate plan and get 100GB for $75/month Plus, we'll waive the connection fee when you activate online.”

call issue

Having call issues when on a call. My connection cuts out, they can't hear me and I can not hear them. Never had a problem in this area, good signal and all paid this month. I've reset my phone also tired turning my phone off for a few minutes.Google Pixel 7 pro

Playstation Remote Play - Error while using hotspot

Just switched over from Telus. Did not have any issues while trying to remote play to my PS5. Never had issues with bell or rogers. But for some reason it won’t connect with my Koodo hotspot. It seems to work fine with WiFi too. Anyone have any suggestions?

Buying a phone bought from Koodo from Facebook Marketplace

Hey! So, I'm not currently a Koodo customer (yet), and I understand that this post might not be the typical content you see here. However, I would really appreciate your help. I'm planning on buying a new phone from Facebook Marketplace. I know you can ask me why I don't purchase directly from Koodo, but I'm trying to find a good deal. Many stores like Walmart and The Source basically force you to buy their phones with a plan, which tends to overprice them. That's why I would prefer to get an unlocked phone that doesn't break the bank and then use it with a carrier that doesn't have a contract, like you guys or your brother, Public Mobile.Anyway, I've done my due diligence, and the seller doesn't seem to have any major red flags that are obvious. The phone is sealed, both front and back. The writing on the back has no spelling mistakes and matches the official box. The seal is also intact. I requested the IMEI, which matches the model and still has warranty (as far as I know). There is
