You can use your phone plan in any device, including a tablet without issue.
Thank you. I couldn't find that information anywhere, even in the fine print.
Which Canadian companies say they lock out phone plans if placed into non-phones? I’ve read that American carriers lock out American carrier branded model tablets from tablet plans. To me, you’re unlikely to find it in fine print because it’s just not something that is done here. The only thing I’ve seen is tablet plans being meant for tablets, but there’s no real way to effectively block it, I think. Usually the talk and text rates for such plans are made pay-per-use and very high. But now that there have been pretty cheap phone plans with larger data buckets this past Black Friday, I don’t think that’s ever going to happen here.
Can a Koodo SIM card from a tablet plan (data only plan) also work on a phone? Using phone for data usage rather than a tablet.

From Koodo:
“A tablet plan may only be used with a tablet device, and requires that you maintain a Koodo mobile phone plan. If these conditions are not met, Koodo may terminate your tablet plan in accordance with the Service Terms.”
While you could probably get away with it, they do say they may terminate it.
