Claim remaining balance
I was a Koodo prepaid self serve customer and I switched my phone to Fido last month. Is it possible to claim back my balance of my original account?I switched my phone right after I had paid for the koodo base plan so can I claim that money back as well?Who I should go to for help if I want to solve these problems? Thank you.
sim card says unavaliable to activate
Hey all, I am trying to activate my husbands sim card. When I go into the setup page for it, to type in the sim card number I get a flag saying that the sim card is unavailable to activate. He bought a prepaid plan and has been receiving emails from the company. even when I go to log in to the self serve his account and email is not recognized. Any advise?
Why was my plan cancelled when I'm paying for it?
I switched to Koodo ten months ago and got a prepaid plan with Canada-wide calling ($25/month), paid for by top-up vouchers offered to me by the customer service representative who handled our transaction. Two days ago, my phone ceased to work. Yesterday, I went to a Koodo storefront for an explanation and was told I had lost my number because I hadn’t paid for it because there was no credit card connected, yet I got my top-up voucher last week and my credit card was billed for it. Please tell me what is wrong and how to fix it.
trying to use new sim card - email verification code not being sent
Hey, Trying to register a new SIM card with my phone number, had to get a new phone. It’s a prepaid. The verification code never gets sent to my email (double checked it’s the right one) , and I can’t get it via text cause my phone is busted. Have no idea what to do
How do prepaid plans work ?
I’m new to prepaid plans and just activated one (Oct 21) for talk only (100 min). On the account it says Payment Due: Nov 20, 2021. I assumed prepaid plans mean you pay for the service that you need only when you need it, this due date seems like I have to pay every month just like on contract/postpaid plan.Do I need to pay every 30 days even if my minutes have not been used up ?Can I top up only when I have no minutes left past the 30 initial days ?What happens on day 31 if I don’t top up ? Do I loose my left over minutes ?
Multiple Charges on my Credit Card
I am activating a new sim card and porting my old number to Koodo prepaid, but when I press “activate”, it wont process. I press the “activate” multiple times but nothing happen. However, my credit card was charge 7x. Now I am frustrated and planning to dispute this to my bank. How can Koodo charge me Multiple times and NOT successfully making my account? I also attached a screen shot of my bank transaction history, I have 7x pending transaction.
Cannot recieve phone calls, but can recieve voicemails.
Hello, I have a prepaid account an it was working fine until I stopped receiving calls and only got voicemails. I tested it out an called myself on my husbands phone. Can’t even see missed calls. Can’t even make phone calls when connected to the wifi, which I guess is normal with prepaid? I tried everything from taking the SIM card out, airplane mode etc. Nothings working.
How Can I activate the Sim Card without Canadian Card...
Dear all, I am a new international student trying to setup my first local phone number. After a long search, I have decieded to make Koodo my service provider. However, it seems like it requires a local credit/debit card to do that. But do request a local banking account, they ask me to provide a local contact number…Is there any other way to activate my sim card? I already bought one from Best Buy and have it delivered to me.Thank you!
Have prepaid US boosters but cant connect
I have purchased US text and data boosters in my prepaid account, but we are in the States now and my phone won’t connect to a cellular network. I’ve tried manually choosing the provider, and removing and re-inserting my SIM card and nothing seems to work. My husband’s phone set up the same way connected right away when we landed in the US.
Luring prepaid customers to postpaid?
I’m starting to wonder if Koodo/Telus has started a strategy to pull/lure people off of prepaid and into their postpaid realm with their “starter plans” with “3G data speed” a la Public Mobile? https://www.koodomobile.com/rate-plans?INTCMP=KMNew_NavMenu_Shop_PlansBoth the $15 and $35 “Starter” plans are identical to Public Mobile, however there’s a draconian $13/100MB data overage charge, and Canada-wide messaging lists as “text only”. And since these are postpaid accounts I assume they would provide VoLTE service (with compatible device) as with the other postpaid plans which is a leg up on prepaid. It’s unclear what the outgoing voice minute overage fees are.
Messed up iPhone.
Hi, I’ve got an iPhone that is really messed up. Sending/Receiving texts & voice calls are not working properly. Is there a number I can call to get this resolved ASAP? I think there is something wrong with the connection to Koodo. Carrier settings maybe? Is there somewhere on this site that I can find the required settings I need to have in my phone? Here are the details from the test I have done this morning:Receiving texts:Slow to receive texts from iPhone. Not immediate – takes minutes.Receiving texts from Andriod, but likely very slow. Cannot test because I don't have an Android phone beside me. Sending texts:Sending texts is extremely slow and failes with “Not delivered”. Receiving phone calls:From another iPhone it doesn't ring and goes straight to VM.From landline it does not ring and does not go to VM. Please help.Thanks.
I went to the Koodo store at Willowbrook Mall and they helped me to transfer my number from a post paid koodo plan to a prepaid Koodo plan, saying the number should transfer in about 40 minutes, but it’s been 4 hours and I have no service showing on both my old phone and my new phone with the pre paid sim installed? Is this normal-what do I do?
How do I go about changing from a Koodo post paid plan to a Koodo pre-paid plan
I am on a talk only post paid plan for $20 per month, but I wish to keep my number and change to a pre-paid base plan for $15 and then add a gig of data for $30, just in case I need some extra data, as I rarely use my phone. Do I need to change SIM cards? Can I do it over the phone, or should I visit a store? Is there still such a thing a post paid versus pre paid SIM cards or are they all the same now?
I have spent days trying to get to my bill to see it. Now overdue. I know how much it is but I don't have account # to set up at bank. Selfseve keeps telling me my info is wrong. (Pre paid). Once I had computer to help halfway had to get human in turn had to try many different things to get me in and said I should not have another problem. That was over a week ago before my bill was due. Now I can't even get to the computer to get human. I'm really frustrated and ready to go elsewhere. Never had this problem in my life paying a bill. I just want it sent to me either by paper or email. Is that possible also. So how do I get my account number plz. Desperately lost in computer space. Phyllis
How to port from prepaid without cancelling prepaid account??
Sorry, I guess this is an odd topic, but thought I’d ask regardless. I am trying to port an existing phone number setup on a prepaid Koodo plan. I am told that once I port that number, my account gets cancelled (along with all the prepaid Boosters I have). I was hoping to port the number but NOT cancel the account. I was hoping to buy another Koodo SIM and setup on this account. Based on a call with Koodo, the only option is to port, which will cancel account. I am simply trying to keep my Koodo prepaid account active wfter I port and setup a new phone number on a new SIM. Koodo is happy to have me simply leave, which I will do if there’s no solution for this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
TOP-UPS NOT WORKING
I have a prepaid plan. Basic stuff, nothing fancy. I pay $25/mo+taxes (every 30 days which keep shifting my expiration date earlier and earlier), and my current expiration date was SEP-02. I MADE A PAYMENT ON SEP-01, and yet my online account is showing that my account is SUSPENDED, because of “insufficient funds”, even though my account BALANCE CLEARLY SHOWS $25!!! So I PAID AGAIN on SEP-02, ANOTHER $25, and the system said “suspension lifted” or “account restored” or whatever the message says. But I go back to my account and IT STILL SAYS “SUSPENDED”, and now $50 IS IN MY BALANCE!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????
Long Distance Booster Minutes
Hi,I am making calls to Hong Kong and I have noticed that the minutes are being deducted from my Talk Booster rather than my Long Distance Talk Booster. Is there a reason for this? Could you please explain how can I make sure that the minutes I am using are deducted from my Long Distance Talk Booster?I am on a prepaid plan with multipleBoosters added onto my account.Thank you!
