I didn’t top up my account on August 4th when the base plan renewed. If I top up my account now, will I have to top up again on September 4th, or will my base plan change to the date that I topped up? I don’t want to waste money by topping up now and only getting 10 days of use.
Hi, I have bought Koodo prepaid SIM card, but I am unable to finish payment, since I do not have credit card or debit Visa issued in USA/Canada. All I have is debit Visa issued in Europe, which is not suitable for payments.I am a newcomer in Canada, and need phone number as soon as possible. Can I go to a Koodo store, ask for activation assistance and pay with cash?
How do i go about getting into my account again.
Hello! I got my SIM card here in Montreal and I have a 30-day prepaid plan which includes 3 GB. I’ve spent only half of that amount, and yet I’ve faced many issues to access internet since yesterday. I can’t even use the browser and I made sure that everything’s set up right on my phone, just like when it was working. Also, the fact that the website’s a mess (I had to set up a new account to have access to the community because it wouldn’t allow me to do so with my Koodo one). Plus, I’m upset for the fact there’s no direct way to communicate with Koodo and there’s no mobile app, which makes checking info a tough task.
I can not port out my wireless home phone due too a flaw in the Koodo system. Koodo treats my home phone like a cell phone, They send a text to authorize the transfer but home phone does not have text service. Thus, the request fails. I called Koodo several times to manually authorize the transfer with no luck.Is it possible to use the home phone sim card in a spare cell so it can handle text message? I tried but the sim card need a pin code.
How often to I have to top up my account for the sim to stay active and not loosing my number?(I want to travel for a few months outside of Canada and I have a prepaid sim).
how do I access my voice-mail?
I am a Prepaid customer, currently in the US. (Nebraska). I have the US Roaming Text Booster. For some reason, I cannot send or receive texts. Does anybody have any suggestions? Do I need to purchase a Roaming Booster? Any advise is appreciated.
It’s so very frustrating… I keep getting redirected to login even though I am already logged into both my Koodo Prepaid account and into the Community page. Of course the Community page requires a different password, because why not. When I try to login using exactly the same Uid/password that worked only moments ago, I get “userid and password do not match, try again”. Say what?I’m ready and willing to work with the tech team at Koodo / Koodo Prepaid to get this simplified. Surely I’m not the only person having this problem.Tech track: I’ve tried both Firefox and Chromium browsers. After I cool down I’ll try either/both with add-ons disabled. I have 3 trouble tickets open, I’m just trying to get any update info on 1 or more of them.I’ve been a long-time Koodo customer, I want this to work for everybody, including family members and friends who are not as geeky as I am.
hi am looking to switch my voicemail from french to english.
can i keep my existing number from telus prepaid to koodo starter plan
I have been with koodo prepaid for 10 years, currently trying to go from pre paid to post paid. Is there any loyalty plan or special plans or discount for this type of situation?
I recently purchased a prepaid Koodo sim card whilst visiting Canada with my wife (Canadian, living in the UK but travels back to Ontario frequently). I topped up and paid for a plan, which served my needs perfectly. I would like to keep the line and number active and potentially reactivate the plan on my next visit later this year, but I’d rather not continue to pay for the plan in the meantime. Is there any way of doing this or do I need to cancel and buy a new sim card next time I visit?
I am a prepaid customer and need to get a printout of my call history. How do I do this? There is no option to download a printout of my call history going back as far as possible?
I am a self serve prepaid customer using my usual Koodo SIM card. I’m not getting any cell service and my settings read “Add cellular plan.” What does this mean and what do I need to do to add a plan or correct this?
Hi, I bought a few top-ups from Walmart, but the cashier only scanned the first one and gave me only one pin number for the first one. So, I can only use the first one. I tried to talk to them and fix the issue but they kept telling me it’s final sale and non-refundable and I should talk to Koodo customer service! Can someone please help me out? Thanks. P.S. I haven’t activated my pre-paid sim yet and just wanted to use on top-ups!
My boyfriend is in drumheller penitentiary and he's been trying to call me through a collect call but my phone doesn't even ring or let me know anyone is trying to call me collect is this a setting I can change on my phone or possibly something to do with my plan? Thanks.
Im going to go to the Philippines for a vacation for 2 months. If I top up my account there, would the server allow me to do that? Also, how long since my last top up will the card be deactivated?
I just purchased a sim with the Koodo prepaid base plan ($15/month) for my unlocked phone, but when I phone somebody, my name does not appear in their Call ID. How do I turn this on?Thanks,Dave
If I am located in USA, am I able to activate a new line and immediately start roaming?
is there any way to prevent mobile phone account take over or highjacking of my Koodo phone number? SIM Card Swapping:Swapping a SIM card is a legitimate service offered by mobile phone carriers when a customer buys a new device, and the old SIM card is no longer compatible with it. Fraudsters can abuse this service with a relatively simple hack. In a SIM card swap scam, a fraudster uses social engineering techniques to transfer the victim’s mobile phone number to a new SIM card. The fraudster contacts a customer’s mobile phone carrier and impersonates the customer, convincing a call center agent to port the mobile phone number to the illegal SIM card. As a result, the user’s banking app can be activated on the fraudster’s phone. If the bank’s authentication mechanism includes text messages as a means of delivering one-time passwords, then taking over the victim’s number becomes an attractive way for a criminal to perform fraudulent transactions, add payees, or perform other operations
I’ve had a ‘new’ phone for a few years now and never activated the sim for it, but when I try now in the: Change SIM Card setting it says “Invalid SIM number; please check the 19-digit number entered”. If I try in the Let's get started with activating your Koodo Prepaid account! it says “SIM card number is not available to be activated”It’s the right code, I have no reason to think it’s not a prepaid sim…
I can’t receive calls or texts.I rang my number from skype and it is going straight to voicemail.I can’t contact Koodo support because the only way is to schedule a call back, and I can’t receive calls! Absolutely ridiculous and shocking customer service.Does anyone have any suggestions on why this may be and how I can fix it? I’ve already turned my phone off and on which hasn’t helpedI’m with prepaid $25/month for 500mb plan, Iphone 13 Pro
My 100min base plan has used all it’s minutes. Does it begin to use the Booster Add-On minutes for Canada Wide Calling or is the phone locked until I ‘top up’.
