Just joined koodo at a mall kiosk, rep took cc info but pre-auth was not created/needed?

Hi there, I’m Deanne and I’m new to the community.I recently signed up with Koodo as a new customer, and noticed that the customer sales rep at the store took my cc, even though I did not ask for pre-authorized payments nor was it set up (at least I thought it’s not set up, since self-service online asks if I want to set up pre-auth). I couldn’t find more info about it on my billing history as nothing seems to have been charged through it. Is there a reason behind the rep doing this? Should I be worried?Is there a way I can confirm that pre-authorized payment has not been set up? I would like to pay for it each time.Thanks,D

How to track Thief using stolen Iphone

Hi There,My work involves helping homeless men.A little over a week ago, I had a 89 year old man who got his Iphone with Koodo SIM card stolen. The thief is using the phone without even removing the SIM card. It rang when I called abt 30 mins ago. He got access to the old man’s Facebook and Whatsapp. Unfortunately he is unable to sign in to Icloud and therefore he is not able to track the device.I know it is a long shot but Is there anything Koodo can do in retrieving the device from the thief?

My phone number is considered a VOIP number by some apps

Years ago I transferred a Voice Over IP (VOIP) number to make it my permanent cell phone number.  It worked great except on rare occasions,  I encounter apps that still consider my number to be a VOIP number and refuse to accept the number. It happened with UBER and SnapChat in the past but they now accept VOIP number.  Today it happened again with ticketmaster. I can’t create an account as it said that my phone number is not supported.  There must be something the telco (Koodo) can do to mark my number as not a VOIP number but a cell number.   I am not sure where to go for help on this one.

When will Koodo stop wrongly charging US roaming chargesProposed

Ongoing issue that US roaming charges are applied when being 20+km away from the border along lake area. When getting an Koodo agent on the phone charges are reversed as they can verify my location. Why no do that before creating the invoice?Guess that it is not really a question to the koodo community, but mor to the Koodo/Telus management

Finally! Koodo has improved international roaming. I might actually use it instead of getting a local sim/esim. Will Koodo be expanding to Asia (in time for my February 2025 trip?)

koodo internet can't connect to my home internet

I recently got koodo internet.Everything is setup, the modem is showing full connection; wifi shows a green light, but I can’t access any webpage, other than the wifi router page.  Internet works when I connect directly to the modem.I’ve tried connecting through Lan 1 from my computer and still no success.They not send me attractivetion mail.  I can't find koodo on my wifi list.I don't know how to connect to it.Can anyone help please 🙏

Tab Balance

Hello, I took over my dad's phone with my phone number. I am an apple user through and through but this is an Android. I would like to switch. My question is my tab balance says zero but when I go I to it it has a negative balance, if I upgrade my phone will I have to pay the balance or will it just be added. I think it will be added to my bill but not sure.

Phone number wont tranfer from old iPhone

I am trying to tranfer my phone number from my old iPhone 10 to my new iPhone 13.  During set up the new phone tried doing the transfer via “transfer from nearby iPhone” but it keeps saying “unable to transfer". I have also tried converting my number to eSim on my old phone but that doesn’t work either.

Temporary number sends messages instead of official number

Hello,Before I ported my old phone number, they gave me a temporary number and once porting was done, when I send messages it appears they are sent from temporary number still and not from my official ported number. Not sure why this issue.Would anyone know the answer and how to fix this. Anjei

Required to Verify Purchase - Unable to speak to anyone

I received an email that I had to verify my purchase and received the call 10 minutes later. I missed the call as I was not expecting it.  The email mentions scheduling a callback but the assistance tool will not allow me to schedule a callback and gives no other way forward. “ You can also go to Koodo Assist to schedule a callback from a live rep. “

Voicemail/Phone not working properly

I tried accessing my voicemail from my wireless home phone yesterday and when prompted to press ‘1’ to check the new voicemails, it wouldn’t do anything. Then I would hang up the phone and try again and the voicemail menu would still be running. Today, the voicemail menu is still running when I hit the ‘talk’ button on the phone and I can’t even make a call out.

If I port out, what happens to my stream+ sub?

Haven’t been given any decent black friday deals on self-serve, and my promo credits from 2022 have ended. Planning to go to a physical location/third party retailer later today to see if there’s any promo deals loaded on my account, but if I don’t see any good deals like the ones lots of people seem to be getting (or at the very least, something close enough) I’m planning to jump ship.I have a stream+ sub with Koodo. What happens to that?
