Question

Constantly overcharged for easyroam

Hi there,

I regularly travel to the US, but I buy travel e-sims to use there. I turn off data roaming, but everytime I get a notification for a voicemail to my koodo account, I get a text that I’ve activated easyroam for the day.
This has happened for my last 3-4 bills, if a koodo rep sees this, are you able to review it & refund these easy roam days where I’ve used no data or calls? I’m in the US right now so can’t schedule a callback as it will charge me another day of easyroam. I can’t turn the line off completely as I need to be able to answer emergency calls to that number. Please help! This happens every single time I travel.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Hi @jrenshaw

We have looked into it and we didn’t find a roaming charge on the most recent bill. We do see a roaming charge on the January bill.

Koodo gives 30 days period to dispute any charge (in case of roaming, it may extend to 90 days in case the charges appear on the bill later). You can check the Service terms here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/service-terms

Just to double check, is the Apple Live Voicemail enabled on your phone?

@Flo Koodo I understand policy, it would be really helpful if we could still dispute those charges as they are over charges, and don’t seem fair to just drop.

No, I don’t have live voicemail turned on, it happens everytime I get a notification for a new voicemail, not one transcribed.

Please help!

Josh

Since you travel to the US so often, I highly recommend changing your plan to a CANADA-US Plan. This is typcially available for exisiting customers only.

Just login to your self serve and go to change your plan and you can scroll though your plan change options
