Misleading Sales Promises and Poor Customer Support Experience with Koodo

Hey guys, I called the Koodo sales line, and a sales representative named Catharine offered me a two-line plan for $24/month per line, including 45GB of data and 1,000 international talk minutes (originally $34/month for 20GB, with $5 off for preauthorized payments, $5 off for 24 months, a 25GB add-on, and a 1,000 international minute add-on). I was very pleased with the offer and decided to activate the plan with her.However, the plan I received is completely different from what she promised. I didn’t receive the $5 credit for 24 months on either line, there’s no 25GB add-on for one of the lines, and the other line doesn’t have the 1,000 international minutes.To make matters worse, Catharine hung up midway through activating my eSIM after promising to call me back within 5 minutes, citing concerns about signal disconnection during the transition between providers. She never called me back. I ended up completing the activation process myself after waiting for her for nearly an hour, on

dissapointed with koodo's video throttling

Overcharge on bill

Asked for a seasonal hold that I managed to get a discount on. (Normally 30$, got it for 20$/month for 6 months.)Got charged 15$ extra for a change of plan. I think the rep got mixed up because I got 3 different emails. Now I'm in Mexico, the AI can't help and I can't schedule a callback because I'm on seasonal hold and they don't accept international calls.Any email adress I can reach out to?

changing email address for apple tv sub

Hello,I just registered for the Apple tv promo for 6months. Everything went fine but apple has denied me access with the email I used (same as the one I use to access Koodo self serve). Anyway, the solution apple gave me was to create a new account with an email not already known by Apple but how would I be able to still have the 6 month Apple tv Koodo promo? What I'm looking for to do is be able to sign up with a new Apple tv account and still be able to access the promo. Plan Koodo and Phine Telus

My phone is on Telus and plan on Koodo. A store in Scarborough has processed this ! Can u believe it. I just got annoyed when I realized I have been paying for iPhone 15 180 a month. Can someone help me to resolve this? Trying to reach support but they don’t respond

Just transferred to Koodo and it was easy except mms doesn't work

I just switched from Rogers Prepaid  to Koodo prepaid and it was easy except mms doesn’t work for me.  Updated my APN settings as per https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phone but no luck. I do wonder if the issue is that my phone is an antique :-)However, it did work on Rogers network, maybe Rogers still supports antiques and Koodo does not?Any suggestions as to what else I could try.

Called person can't hear me.

Using my iPhone 8, when I call my home’s landline, I can hear the person who answers but they cannot hear me.  I’ve searched all of the settings and can’t find anything that would cause this. Can anyone help?

Anyone else have thier account terminated due to customer representative error?

Hi, I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this issue with Koodo.I set up a new account with Koodo, porting my number from Rogers. I got the SIM card from a Telus rep and they started the account for me and gave me instructions on how to order a new phone. I followed the instructions, got a call back from a customer service rep, confirmed all of my account information and have them the back story and I wanted to order a new phone. In the process of ordering me a new phone, they said they needed to move my plan to a higher rate plan to get the better deal on the phone. In the process, they opened a second account under my name, which flagged both accounts for fraud and cancelled them both and my phone order which I had paid for. I had no idea until the next morning when I called in because my sim still wasnt working. I did not ask for a second account, nor to cancel the first. This was clearly the reps error and other representatives agreed.Now I am without a cell phone for three -

Easy Roam Travel Passes

I have just noticed that Koodo does an Easy Roam Travel Pass for Mexico.  It says a 7-day Easy Roam Travel Pass is $60.00 for Mexico.  We are going to Mexico in the new year for 13 days.  Is it possible to piggy back 2 X 7 - day travel passes on my phone line as it will be a lot cheaper than the $16/day?  My daughter is coming with us, could she do the same thing if she wanted to?

Take a look at the exclusive offers I got... LOL.

I’ve been a BYOP users since the beginning. But it’s been a while and I’m hoping to find a good deal. (‘Tis the season.)I saw the exclusive for me offers and was about to dive in… but then I read more and it made me laugh. I mean come on now… Really?(Not here to be mean to Koodo & Team. Not calling you out. But it is kinda silly/funny - so much so i can’t keep it to myself.)Koodo offered exclusively for me plans for $45 unlimited call and text with 75 GB of data and $50 for unlimited call and text with 80 GB of data. But their regular offering $44 for unlimited call and text with 80 GB of data and $50 for unlimited call and text with 85 GB of data. In short, their exclusive offers were more expensive their regular offers.

Incorrect Roaming charges again

Hello. I was charged easy roam all the while being on Vancouver Island. This charge was 3:20pm October 15th while I was in Victoria BC Canada. Can you kindly reverse this charge please? Thank you. Please note, this is the second time (October 30th) I have sent this message and as my bill is due today, I would like a response before I pay. Thank you and I hope all is in order.

garbage battery

I got a used phone through Koodo. I’m not even done paying off the tab yet and the battery is trash. Drops from 54% to 17% in 10 minutes for example. Do I have any options? That won’t cost a ton of money? Unfortunate that Koodo puts in off brand batteries that don’t last.

new number already in use

I bought a new sim for my kid and she sent a text to her brother. He replied to the text and the he got a text from someone who said “who is this?”  However we the “who is this” didn’t show up on her phone. And when she tries to activate the iMessage feature it won’t activate because the number is in use on another account.

Cannot remove Prime from account

I am attempting to remove the prime add on in self serve -> manage add ons and I am receiving an error.  I have signed up for Stream+ and I do not want to be charged for Prime through the add on features.  I've tried multiple times over different days and it still will not remove.
