Hi, I am a pre-paid user of Koodo. My next payment due is in two days. I like to change my basic plan today. If I change the plan today, auto top-up will charge again when cycle is coming in two days? someone said, if I change before cycle auto top-up, they will charge twice. So I don’t want to pay double. Can you help me?
Wondering if this was an isolated incident or something particular for many/all auto top-up customers on April 2nd. Last night April 2 (after 9pm) discovered that one of my prepaid phones failed to auto-top after many many years of smooth operation. Text messages were sent out via 611 around noon about being unable to process payment and then later in the day that the baseplan could not be renewed and top check online and contact 611 if issues persisted. SMS and phone calls ceased to work later in the day as well. Any incoming calls went directly to voicemail. I didn’t learn of all this until the evening.I logged into the online account and it showed account was suspended and renewal did not take place. The transaction history showed March 3 2021 successful but nothing for April.. The main account balance had my 10% auto top up credit from last month and nothing else and it indicated I had until Jul 2021 to renew.Went into the billing section online and all looked fine. Chec
Hi, I was a new customer of koodo and I brought my own phone and I asked them that I wanna buy SIM card with a plan. But at the time I didn’t show them my credit card or anything! Just showed my passport and they gave me a sim card.that was really nice, after that, I went back to my room and I was about to sign up account, but I couldn’t due to not finding my phone number, email address, even if SIM card doesn’t match on website. Anyway, I’m so afraid of not showing any of credit card, and I can’t deal with what happens in my phone right now. do you have any idea of it??
Hi, I was successful in moving from prepaid to postpaid, and moved my phone number over, fairly painless. Does this process automatically close my prepaid account? I had automatic top-ups on the prepaid, so to the point, will this stop now? I assume it will, as I can no longer actually login to my prepaid account, but would like to know for sure. thanks!
I’ve done this before but it’s not working this time. I added the booster and there were not enough funds so it took me to the page to add funds, I clicked GO BACK and tried to complete the order but the button doesn’t work. it says my base plan expired but it also says it doesn’t renew until end of day tomorrow. I’ve tried everything log out, log in, add more funds go cover the next base plan. nothing works.
Hello! I’m hoping someone here will be able to help me out :) I currently have Monthly plan, however I’ll be moving abroad in the near future and its unclear if I’ll be returning to Canada (thus putting my account on “hold” is not an option). I’d like to switch to PREPAID so I can continue to have service without having to worry about cancelling my account and such but rather just let the number expire.Could anyone confirm if this is possible? How do I go about it? Am I able to keep my same number when going from postpaid to prepaid? Thank you!
I think there should be a $25 credit for prepaid accounts that are referred, as well as accounts that clients migrate from prepaid to postpaid. I personally know people who would never have changed from prepaid if it wasn't for someone they know pointing out the benefits of them switching to postpaid.
I have seen the official “how does prepaid plan work” paragraph but it is still quite confusing to me. If I get a plan with 3 GB of data, doesn’t the traditional prepaid plan work until you use up your data? It seem to say that I’m still expected to pay the base plan amount every month. And if I don’t top up after 90 days my account will be expired? What’s the difference between the prepaid plan and monthly then?
Been trying to active my sim but I’m stuck on the payment stage. Am I only able to pay with a US or Canadian credit/debit card? I’m trying to pay with an Australian visa debit card (the card definitely works, and I’ve tried two different ones). Note: Only a credit or Visa Debit card registered to a Canadian/U.S. address can be registered to your account. Other International credit/Visa Debit cards are not accepted. I assumed this was only meant for automatic top-ups? If not.. that really puts me in a catch-22 of neither being able to open a bank account nor get a phone number.
Hi, I am a postpaid/monthly customer of Koodo. One of my family members is going to arrive Canada soon and I would like to get a new postpaid connection ready for her as soon as she arrives. When I am trying to buy a new connection/sim card online from the Koodo website it's asking me for her credit card number for doing a credit check and also for her Social Insurance number. Now since this person is going to be a new resident, she has neither one of these yet and with the current situation, it will probably be quite a while before she gets any of them and I don't want her to be without a phone number until then. I was therefore wondering what is the process for buying a sim card online in a situation like this? I am preferring to do it online to get the waiver on the $45 connection fee.
Just want to double check the process of switching from my monthly plan to a prepaid plan is correct as the follows; Get a prepaid SIM > activate > port old number > then the plan will be switched and I’ll be charged for the portion of the monthly plan that I’ve used (as I’m switching mid-cycle) then the prepaid plan from there? I’m also curious as they’re having a promotion for the base plans until Feb. 16 - will my prepaid base plan stay at this price even after Feb. 16? Or is it a one-time deal and revert to their regular price after the promo expires? any help appreciated - Thank you!
