Prepaid

Hi,I’m a prepaid user with data and minutes booster left. Does anyone know if the data and minutes balances are linked with the phone number or the prepaid online account. For instance, in my case my current prepaid number has 1GB data and 100 minutes left. If I transfer my current number to a Telus sim card/account, and my current prepaid sim card installed on another phone with a new 2nd number, does the 2nd number have that 1GB data and 100 minutes?Thank you.

So someone visits canada and orders your SIM card online… Then tries to top up using credit card..It doesn’t work because you do not accept international credit cards!!! So how am I supposed to use the SIM card that I ordered online…Why can’t I use an international credit card. I do not have a Canadian bank account…The process is broken, because you allow me to register an international bank account. I can do this through your Assist robot service… But to do that I need to organise a call back… and for you to call me back , I need to give you a Canadian phone number… so back to square zero..I bought your SIM card online bwcause I do not have a Canadian phone… so why do I need to have a phone number to get a new phone number!!!!! Very ill thought process.

Hello,I just got my new fon from Koodo, and I got new SIM card with it. The phone is both with the plan, which I already have. I want to keep my old number. So I wander, why I need a new SIM card. Thank you,Marko

i lost my phone .if i buy new sim card, do i loose my prepaid minutes /

Hi everyone! So I have a phone number assigned for a business, but no actual phone yet. I have my old iPhone 6 kicking around and was going to buy a SIM and have the number forward to that phone (at least until we have a physical space, and then I’m hoping to shift the number to the in-office phone). I’m assuming I’d have to put it on a pre-paid or short term plan in order to do this? Is this something I can do? I haven’t been in a situation where I’ve had the number before the hardware before, and Google was giving me mixed responses.

Got a new sim card today for my huawei mediapad 5t I'm currently with koodo but on my uncles tab I'm trying to hook my tablet up as pay as you go I've tried to activate my sim online it tells me to type the 19 digit number on the back on the sim card it says its invalid and its a brand new sim

Hi there!I am looking for some information. I am working with a homeless client and have found him housing but it is conditional on him maintaining a working phone. Is there a way for me to set him up with a prepaid account but deposit the funds for 6 months so he doesn’t have to make payments?

I bought a prepaid sim card for $50. I have spent 3 days trying to activate my phone and I keep getting blocked from finishing the top up, because it prompts me to pay again for a plan. Do koodo's sim cards cost $50 all by themselves, with a need to pay more for a plan? Or, is this just a way to force people into subscribing to a full plan instead of wanting to test this provider first?

Two days ago I purchased a 300-minute long-distance talk booster add-on AND a 1 GB data booster add-on.  My Visa card has been charged for both.  The long-distance talk booster is showing but not the data booster. Why? Will the data booster show up later?

I just bought a new prepaid sim card, I go trough the whole process, and after pressing the final Activate button it just says there. I waited more than 10 minutes and nothing happens, nor do I get any emails with my new activated account; I also inserted the sim card into the phone and no service. Is the activation system working? Should I use a different browser than Chrome or Edge?

I purchased a prepaid SIM card in store and also paid for the 2.5 GB plan ($40). When activating my SIM card it is now asking me to pay again for the plan however I have already paid for it in store. I don’t see any options to get around this when registering the SIM card.  Thanks

Just want to know if I can re activate a chip from 2020, i went to Mexico and have not used it since November???

I have a Koodo prepaid SIM card that I was using till December and I paused my account for a few months now my sim card and phone number are not working

Hello, I currently have a prepaid account with a single personal phone number that I have been using for years, and now I need to add a second line for business. This line will be inside the same phone with Dual SIM. I recently bought a new prepaid SIM card to add to my existing account, but I’m unable to find where to go to activate an add it to my current account. The only option I have found is ‘’Change SIM card’’, which is obviously not what I need. The picture attached shows there’s a menu to choose the account inside the prepaid self-serve, but it’s only my current account listed there.  Where should I go to add the 2nd line to my current account? From my understanding, the only other option would be to create a completely new e-mail address, and use this address to create a new prepaid account which will have a separate balance. (Will have to top up 2 different accounts and keep 2 separate e-mail addresses ) Thanks in advance.

I have a monthly plan and also a prepaid plan for my son.  I want to add another prepaid plan for my other son how does it work! I have already bought a prepaid sim card for his phone. Can i have 2 prepaid plan under my same email adress and visa.

I'm looking into buying a phone outright from the manufacturer, and was wondering if Koodo prepaid is an option if I'm bringing my own device. I use almost no data so the prepaid with data boosters is the ideal plan for me, but I wanted to confirm before purchasing the phone that prepaid will be an option, since the Bring Your Own Phone plans are more expensive.Any information would be greatly appreciated!

This is a re-direct from a previous topic whose title might seem  misleading. Some customers reported phantom calls to voicemail a few weeks back. Check your usage in self-serve.

How do I disable voicemail on my prepaid phone.  I keep getting a robo call everyday all day.

How do I bring my already paid minutes that are on my prepaid account but not yet used up to a new postpaid account? I want to have a postpaid account but I don’t want to lose the minutes that I have already paid for.

I want a new postpaid sim with monthly bill of $15 or prepaid sim for my daughter, but on a separate account , not on the same account as myself, so kindly suggest how ?

I just set up my pre authorization today for my first bill, should I pay my bill due on July 12 separately or will the set up handle it?

I am a foreign temp worker in Canada (originally from UK). I am looking for a 3 month sim plan (calls, texts and data) and Koodo seems to have good options on the bring you’re own device. Anyone know if they can be cancelled at anytime without fee?I cannot call Koodo to ask as I am still on my UK plan and it would be a fortune.

I am about to order a bring your own device SIM card. My question is do I get a new number with this? (I currently have a UK number so I need a Canadian one) Thanks

I got my son a sim card and he is using an old phone. I decided to just buy him a gig of data hoping he could use it to just text when he is out at the park etc… but koodo doesn’t seem to allow it. I tried what’s app and it doesn’t seem to work either. I just get repeated messages from koodo saying I do not have a texting plan. This doesn’t seem fair

My pre paid plan has around a month left on it so I decided to change my base plan now so I wouldn’t forget. I pressed change base plan and I chose the new one I wanted. I bought it and the pay came out of my back account but it looks like it didn’t actually change my base plan so that’s is automatically takes the money out of my account each month and the old one is still there. I don’t know how to fix it. This is what it says, the  30$ is what I just payed for the new plan and the 35$ is from my old plan and same with the payment due. So I’m  confused! If anyone could help that great!
