I helped a student pay for their pre-paid phone a few months ago. I don’t know their phone number. How do I cancel the prepayment arrangement? I looked on my credit card site and can’t do it there. The credit card company is sending me back to Koodo to take care of it, but I’ll be damned if I can get through the frigging site’s chatbot - there is no assistance available from anywhere but here. Hoping you can help because i’m at the end of my rope.
Got a new SIM card today as included for a family plan, and part of the instructions we're to change back to normal number by going to “Koodo.com/changenumber” but everytime I click on it it brings me to some overview page which has no option for changing number, and I also tried going to the “mobile services tab” then change my number through there as well but it keeps redirecting me to the same irrelevant page. I've tried this on two devices and also a device on whole different network and it still doesn't work. This is what I keep loading into.
I won’t be charge to pickup any calls from anywhere in Canada, right? I’m from ABSource: The LinkTIA
I applied for a phone number(prepaid) in August and will return to China in November. I have stopped paying now and my number is no longer in use. Do I need to go through other procedures? If I return to Canada in January 2024, can I continue to pay bills and use the original number? Thank you!
The las week acquired a Koodo prepaid plan, unfortunately I need to have two lines in mi iphone. I saw that in your web page in FAQs section is the below question:1. Which rate plans are available for eSIM?Any in-market Koodo rate plan (prepaid or postpaid) is available on eSIM.On another hand I went a Koodo store and they told me that the eSIM just is available in postpaidWhat can I do in this case?
I need help as my account has been suspended because the credit card that was registered for auto top up was issued outside US & Canada, and I have no other cards to use. What are the services that will not work if my account is suspended? Is there any work around available for me without going to the physical store to solve the issue? Any answers are very much appreciated. :)
In the process of trying to get Volte enabled on my phone I dialed *#*#4636#*#*. Then selected Phone Info and IMS Service Status.IMS Status shows "IMS registration: Not registered". A little googling says that is not good.I’ve tried turning my phone on/off, airplane mode on/off, remove/reinstall SIM.How do I fix this? FYI my SIM card is more than 5 years old if that matters.
I have a prepaid account with 250MB free data, using a Pixel 6a. For the last few months I have noticed that when I turn data on and then off again, I continue to show data being used even though it is turned off. Yesterday, i had more than 60MB of data use recorded when data was turned off. If this a problem with the phone or is this a Koodo problem?
I am a new costumer and very unhappy with the service. The Koodo website is very user unfriendly. The website does not load properly and I have tried to top up my prepaid account with multiple different credit cards and they all get rejected. Now I am locked out of my account, lost my build up free data and have no way of using my Sim. I have had to get a new SIM card of another provider. The chat did not help at all since I am locked out of the self serve account. Terrible service.
My account is suspended and I do not have a balance due. It is topped up properly. I can't contact anyone at koodo and the virtual assistant doesn't understand my issue. For some reason my call back number is not working?
I want my number changed to one that hasn't yet been assigned to anyone yet. It won't show up in the number Pool. I called it and it's not in service. Example. 204-300-0287 show up but I want 204-300-0300 and it's not showing as an option. How can someone manually give me this number on my Koodo prepaid account.
Hi, so I have a Pre-Paid referral code ready and during a new activation of another pre-paid number/account on-line, I was very carful on each step but there is no prompt asking to enter the code all the way until the new account has been activated. So, what can I do now? Where exactly the step is to allow you to enter the referral code? I am using Brave browser maybe with pop-up blocked. Would that be the issue? I am trying the call-back support and the first call-back was a joke, she doesn’t understand a word I said and handed up on me and never call back now I am trying a second time for the call-back help to see if they can fix the issue for me. Any advice would be great as I need to create another account/number.
Hey everyone. So I am a prepaid user in the Caribbean and need some long distance functionality to use two factor authentication on my various accounts. Using the chat bot I tried to request a call back to discuss my options but as they dont take international numbers, I’m not sure what my options are. There also isnt a koodo or anything nearby where I could walk in and switch to a post paid account with roaming (I know they mentioned I would need to switch my sim). Similarly, the long distance booster/ add ons will only work in the USA or CanadaIf anyone could direct me towards who to call in this instance, I would really appreciate it.
Hello I was wondering if I can pause a prepaid plan for just a few hours or a few days? I only see the one for 6 months and with monthly payment Thanks
why on a $15 plan incoming calls are counted in the 100minutes, the plan states incoming calls originating in Canada are free?
Hi, I would like to know why when I try to call a number that is not registered in my phone, I’m am told that I can’t make the call because the number is not registered in my contacts?I have the 15cad prepaid plan including:100 minutes of Canada-wide Calling Unlimited International Text and Picture Messaging² Unlimited incoming calls Voicemail³ and call Display Call waiting, Call forwarding, Conference calling³thanks for answering me.
Are there any other carriers (prepaid or monthly) with cheap US data roaming?I switched to Koodo prepaid as it offers a $20 (or was it $25) US data package. That is plenty for me for most trips, much better than the $15 or so per day for other carriers, eg Koodo or Virgin monthly. However they have not been able to get my account to work, so I have to shop for some other plan instead.
Hello!!!, I have a prepaid line that I want to cancel I couldn’t cancel it because my ex roomie signed up for the line because at time I was new in the country didn’t have any credit either debit I lost totally contact with my ex roomie and I really need to cancel any suggestions what options I have ? I already had a call with the Koodo assistant but he could cancel because the line wasn’t in my name thank you… 🙏🏾
A person made a post in another forum who is also a Koodo prepaid customer. When they went to buy a data booster yesterday, it says on the website that data boosters expire after 30 days! However, elsewhere on their site it still says they do not expire. is Koodo planning to change the expiry date of boosters (As Public Mobile already has) to 30 days, or have they already?
So right now I got the 250 MB of data as a complimentary offer, now they have the summer 2G for 12 months, if I accept this, will I lose my 250 MB once the 12 months?I know this won't stack, but I guess i am asking is I am get my 250 MB back once the time is up?
Hello,I am currently overseas in SE Asia. I need to receive SMS in order to validate some of my online banking accounts (Canadian banking institutions). I did not anticipate that prepaid was unable to receive SMS internationallly, and understand my only option now is to switch to post paid account. Is it possible for me to switch from prepaid to post paid entirely online? I see reference to a new physical SIM, do i still need this even though I have a physical Koodo prepaid SIM?As mentioned, I am already overseas so cannot receive a new SIM, nor an SMS currently. Thanks
I gave my Dad my old iphone and have already set up his monthly plan, etc. Instead of waiting for his SIM card to arrive in the mail, I picked one up at the Koodo store so that I can get his phone activated. I just realized that the SIM card says “Prepaid”. Can I use this when he has a monthly plan and his own phone??
I have a prepaid plan, and am planning to travel to the US for a few weeks.I hope to use data, voice, and text while there, so was intending to purchase US Roaming Data, Talk and Text Boosters. However, I read in other threads, such as this, that the voice booster only works if one has VoLTE. My iphone 7 has only LTE, not VoLTE, and so it's not clear to me if the "VoLTE for Koodo Prepaid" discussions athttps://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/volte-koodo-prepaidapplies to my phone. One hand, the previous link says "Apple iPhone 6, 6 Plus, and newer" are supported. On the other hand, the same links says VoLTE is activated using a setting "LTE, VoLTE on"that does not exist on my non-VoLTE phone. Is anyone able to shed any light on this, I'd be more at ease. Thank you!
VoLTE is now available on Koodo Prepaid and I received a text message from Koodo recently stating this. The text message also said that my phone is not compatible with VoLTE. I have the Samsung Galaxy S10.Yet, the Samsung Galaxy S10 does support Voice over LTE, I have enabled the option in the Android settings and it is actually on Koodo’s own list of phones that support VoLTE here:https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/volte-koodo-prepaidWhen I spoke to Koodo tech support I was told that the Samsung Galaxy S10 is supported for VoLTE on the monthly postpaid plans but not on the prepaid plans. Why would there be two separate and different lists of VoLTE compatible phones: one for prepaid plans and one for post paid plans. And why would Koodo’s tech support have a differrent list than the one publicly posted at https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/volte-koodo-prepaidIt does not make sense to me that my account cannot be activated for VoLTE when my phone supports this feature.
