Hi!According to this article: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-and-esim-vouchersKoodo now supports eSIM Quick Transfer, including the ability to convert a SIM to an eSIM on the device without a voucher:Existing customers:To convert a physical SIM card to an eSIM on the same iPhone using eSIM Quick Transfer, go to: Settings > Cellular > Tap Convert to eSIM > Tap Convert Cellular PlanWait for your eSIM to activate. Your previous SIM card is deactivated when the cellular plan on your iPhone activates. Remove the physical SIM from your iPhone. Then restart your iPhone.Note: Apple eSIM Quick Transfer requires iOS 16.4 or newer I don’t see the option “Convert to eSIM” in Settings > Cellular, and I am running iOS 16.4.1 on an iPhone 12 Pro. My line is prepaid, but this same article says “Any in-market Koodo rate plan (prepaid or postpaid) is available on eSIM”.Any reason why the “Convert to eSIM” option would not display?
My phone was working for text and calls until I changed my base plan to a yearly plan with unlimited Canada-wide calling. Now when I try to call out it says Error 7B1: Phone is not activated on the network. SMS still works.I have restarted my phone several times.I have removed and replaced the SIM card.Any ideas to get it working again?
Hi!I bought a Koodo prepaid SIM card, and completed all the steps of the activation process, including the payment. Three hours have passed, and I still get no service on my cellphone. I also get a notification saying “SIM not provisioned”. In my self-serve page, it says that the SIM card is active.I tried rebooting the phone, removing the SIM card, putting it on another slot, trying it on another device, but no luck.In the FAQ of the Activating your prepaid phone page, question 4 states that I should have received an “Welcome” email confirmating the activation, but I have not. What can I do?PS: I paid with a debit card, and my online banking page says that the transaction was pre-approved, but is still pending. Can this be the reason? Thanks,Ronaldo
So my prepaid plan auto-renewed. On the same day, I changed my plan and was again charged, essentially being charged twice. Am I just out of luck for picking a bad day to renew, or should I be reimbursed for my original plan that I'm no longer on?
Hi Koodo community,I been trying to reactivate my account for 30 mins, re-entering my debit card credentials correctly, only to be greeted with a “Oops! Something went wrong, please try again later”. Is there an issue with my account or is it server issue?Any help would be useful too,Thanks,
My brother is trying to sign in to his Koodo Prepaid account to look at his usage history but he can’t login. The login process claims that he’s supplying an invalid phone number, even though it is correct. (It is the only mobile phone number he’s ever had.) When he tries the forgot password link, it claims not to recognize his email address, even though it is the only one he’s ever had. I’ve looked over his shoulder as he tried to sign in and everything is exactly correct so I’m baffled. The phone works fine so we know the account is still active. I helped him buy a data booster earlier this month. There is absolutely no indication anywhere of any number we could call for tech support so I truly don’t know if Koodo even offers tech support. How do we get the login screen to accept his login information?
Hi!I have a prepaid Koodo line and I am currently travelling the US. I’m not able to place calls, and I think this is because I can’t enable VoLTE. According to the VoLTE on prepaid article, it says that existing customers will have VoLTE enabled during “certain transactions”.What kind of transaction do I need to do in order to force getting the VoLTE profile so that I can enable it in iOS settings? Would a SIM swap work? Can Customer Service force the profile on my line? Thanks!
I would be stopping my koodo prepaid service but I have remaining balance on the account would I be able to get a refund on this amount or be able to transfer the remaining balance to my friend number that is also with koodo?
can anyone give us an update as to when we might see volte for koodo prepaid connections? There is another thread on this topic dating back 6 months that is now locked for comments whereby a Koodoo rep estimated by the end of 2022. The end of 2022 has come and gone, time for a progress report.VOLTE might resolve some of the issues prepaid customers are experiencing in the U.S. (but necessarily all)
Switching from telus prepaid to koodo prepaid, do I need a new sim
I was trying to get my 2022 Koodo prepaid payment history (for tax purposes). I discovered (1) that the payment history only goes back 365 days from today, which is disappointing, but also (2) that the “Custom” date range in the payment history section is hopelessly broken. When you select it, you can select a custom date range within the past year, but when you apply it, you still get the payment history for the last 3 months (or 6 months, sometimes). The fact that the box says “3 months” after you click on “custom,” though now it has a purple border on it.I went looking for a customer service email, so that I could report this bug. Guess what? There’s no such thing. Apparently if you’re not willing to play footsie with the assistant or wait on the phone, they don’t want to hear from you. OK, I guess I’ll post to the community.I went to the community page from within my prepaid self serve account and went to make a new post. It wanted me to log in (though I was logged in to my self se
I recently returned from 3 months in Mexico. During that time I kept paying for my monthly prepaid Koodo plan. I had bought a data booster before leaving and had only used a small portion of it. I had my Koodo SIM with me while in Mexico (and I used it in the U.S. for 2 days en route to Mexico) but for the 3 months I was in Mexico I used a Mexican SIM card. When I got home, I put my Koodo SIM back in and found that the data was all used up. My usage history showed that I had used data while I was in Mexico, which was obviously not the case. I got “customer service” to call me. The rep put me on hold while he talked to “tech support” and then told me that according to their records, while I was in Mexico, my SIM was used in a phone in Canada and he provided me with the IMEI number. It was not a number I have any record of and in any case, I had the SIM with me in Mexico so it is obviously bullshit. The rep said “our records are very precise” and refused to restore my data. YesterdayI c
I have a 5gb monthly promotions (valid for 12months) applied to my Koodo account, I would like to know if I change my plan, will I still have the promotions applied to my account?

I am currently a Koodo customer with a monthly plan and I’m wondering if it’s possible to keep my phone number but switch to a Koodo prepaid plan. I’ve seen the help articles about bring phone numbers from other carriers, but I’m unclear on whether I can bring a phone number from one type of Koodo plan (monthly) to another (prepaid). Thanks!
Looks like I can’t login to my account anymore so I’m assuming the account is closed. I just wanted to confirm that I won’t be charged anymore for Koodo Prepaid. Thanks in advance.
My mom is travelling to the US - as a prepaid customer with an iPhone. She has added Roaming Data Booster, Roaming Text Booster and Roaming Talk Booster - but she is unable to send texts or make phone calls when she isn’t on Wi-Fi! Under Cellular data options- data roaming is on.\Her cellular data network is listed as sp.koodo.comAny ideas why this isn’t working?
Hello,Charged 2x for pre-paid top-up (website issues). Koodo called as scheduled but didn’t recognize when I selected 1 as instructed on all 3 attempts. Not sure why - I could hear the tone. Set up another call but did not seem to receive. So, How can I reverse this charge? (Preference)If charge can’t be reversed, will credit in prepaid acct be used automatically for next top-up? Or will I be charged again? Do I need to turn off auto top-up to ensure this credit is used? Acct currently shows $25 credit. Thank you.
I’ve been with koodo for 16 years, haven’t missed a months payment in all that time, and decided I was going to treat myself to the latest iphone. Not interested in a tab, I intended to buy it outright and just continue using the plan I already have. I attempted to sign in when asked so I could add it into my cart, but once I did so the option to purchase anything was gone. It wouldn’t go anywhere except for my main summery of my account. I attempted to use the chat, and basically it asked me to sign in and then said I’m not a customer. I don’t wish to have a contract, I don’t use my phone enough to warrant it. So am I correct in interpreting my account has no relevance and I’m not a koodo customer even though I’ve been with this company for so long? Very disappointed to say the least
I am in the process of transferring from my Telus Prepaid to Koodo Prepaid. Both accounts are still active (for another day or so).I notice that I have VoLTE active when I use my Telus Prepaid SIM but when I switch to the Koodo SIM I lose VoLTE and if I switch back I get it back. And that is even though Telus advertises that VoLTE is NOT available for Prepaid on either Telus or Koodo. So why do I have access to VoLTE on Telus Prepaid and NOT on Koodo? The answer that VoLTE is NOT available for Prepaid seems artificial. Anyone have an answer?
I have limited outgoing minutes.
Phone broke. Put SIM card into another phone. Unsuccessful at SIM Network unlock, need PUK after putting in wrong code. Help please.
I've been a prepaid customer since 2013. I've always managed my account through self-serve.A few days ago, I got a voicemail from a Telus/Koodo retail kiosk at a mall close to my home. I've never dealt with them before but they knew my name. They offered to "upgrade" my phone and plan. Since I'm not in the market for either, I didn't respond.Today, I got an email from Koodo that says:"We received a request from a retail location to access your Koodo Prepaid account. To receive support, please provide your authorization code to the representative in store. "As mentioned, I've never dealt with Koodo retail and never requested support from them. Is this how Koodo is trying to lure people from prepaid to postpaid?
Does anyone have the APN settings needed to access cellular data in USA and US Virgin Islands through Koodo Prepaid? I believe the partners are AT&T and T-Mobile. We know the 3G network is being shut down, but not quite yet.
