Hi!

I have a prepaid Koodo line and I am currently travelling the US. I’m not able to place calls, and I think this is because I can’t enable VoLTE. According to the VoLTE on prepaid article, it says that existing customers will have VoLTE enabled during “certain transactions”.

What kind of transaction do I need to do in order to force getting the VoLTE profile so that I can enable it in iOS settings? Would a SIM swap work? Can Customer Service force the profile on my line?

As well, which roaming carrier you were on? Did data and text work?

After rebooting multiple times, I still get the message that I need to contact Koodo in order to flip the VoLTE switch to ON.

Yep - that’s what’s failing. Step 5 “Select LTE, VoLTE on” results in the error: “Cannot activate LTE calls. To enable LTE calls on this account, contact Koodo”.

 

My understanding is that this is because the VoLTE profile hasn’t made it to my line yet, so I’m curious as to how I can make that happen.

Thanks! I was able to talk to a rep this morning and they reset my voicemail PIN, which turned on VoLTE.
