Hello,

In June I signed up for a prepaid account at a Koodo store in St Catharines ON

The worker forgot to charge me the 20$ fee for the sim and texted my number, I didn’t respond as I had already left the province, and went from Alberta to Europe.

I noticed today on my credit card that I have been getting charged 50$ every month since then

I did not sign up for anything longterm because I knew I was leaving the country in 2 weeks and haven’t been back since then.

I tried to sign in with my email but it said it wasn't recognized but this isn't possible because it is the only email I have ever had.

I think he was mad and changed my email in my account as well as my type of pre paid plan.

I am struggling now to locate my number, and I have tried to find answers on Koodo but couldn't

I have cancelled my credit card to avoid further charges. Now will I have to wait for my parents to send me my card and go a month without it.

Is there anyway to find my account if my email isn't there, and I can't find the number?

I am hoping to have some money returned from a reasonable time period, maybe a month after I left Canada.

My email is ben.perry.94@gmail.com

Please let me know if I can be helped

Thank you

Ben

Are you sure you are signed up to prepaid and not postpaid?

Have you ever successfully signed in to self serve? Maybe try to sign in to the post paid self serve?

To add; if you did sign up for a prepaid account and there is no activity on the account (e.g. an active base plan) for a full 90 days, your prepaid SIM card will be automatically de-activated. You will lose your phone number and any funds remaining on your account balance, including boosters.

Unfortunately, confusion reigns supreme in many stores, regardless of the service provider. The sales employees don’t receive any worthwhile trailing commission on prepaid, Koodo or otherwise, and will quickly switch the bla bla bla from prepaid over to postpaid plans. If you signed anything at all in store and walked out with a plan, you are probably on postpaid. Anytime I have asked a store (US or Canada)  to sell me a prepaid SIM, they have not been helpful or tried to dump me downstream to Walmart or others.
