Seems straightforward but what do I know. I would like my kids to have a watch (wearable device) that we can text back and forth with and possibly make calls. It should be independent (not needing a phone to pair to) and have a reasonably affordable plan. We tried the Garmin Bounce with LTE and the lag time and unreliability of message delivery made the product unusable for real life applications. Bell, if I understand their plan mumbo jumbo, requires having a parent plan (I refuse to pay $100 per month for a plan) and then add on the “standalone” watch plan. When is this going to be a thing Koodo?
Port of old number from Bell, replied “YES” to the text, switched SIM card, and checked my Bell account and my number with them has been cancelled. Koodo self serve also shows my correct number so it seems to think the number has been ported successfully. However, I can’t send or receive texts or calls and I haven’t received the welcome text from Koodo and have waited the 2.5 hours it says to wait on the website.I have scheduled a callback but the only number I have is my phone… on which I cannot send or receive messages or calls… so not sure how they’re planning to reach me. I am concerned about my inability to use my current number and would like to resolve ASAP.
Hello,Whenever I call anybody, my phone says the number is not valid followed with three loud beeps. How can this be resolved?
Starting late last night (possibly earlier, but this is when we first noticed), none of our family’s three Koodo prepaid phones are able to place or receive a call. When we try to place a call, it disconnects almost immediately and says ‘call failed’ - when someone outside our family tries to call us it seems to start to connect, then just disconnects immediately. All accounts are confirmed active and have minutes. Texting and other functions are working fine. Per a Google search for a solution, we have switched airplane mode on and off, and restarted the phones.
Hi all,I have recently setup a business line in addition to my personal line on my Samsung S22. I need two voice-mail greetings, one for each purpose. Can you help?
Got a new Samsung phone, how can I transfer the eSim on my old Samsung to the New One?
Received an email that asks me if I want to change my password. Was this just a hack attempt? i checked my account and it all looks good, but deleted the email.
has anyone used an esim voucher to activate on a phone and then later used the same voucher/QR code to activate a 2nd phone ( while deactivating 1st phone)? I’m wondering if the voucher is a one time only (at $20 a voucher) or can be reused to move between phones in the same way a physical sim card can be moved between phones?
I need a Puk code I just activated a sim chip and now it’s locked and needs a Puk code
I am not able to receive texts from my bank in the US since switching to Koodo. This is preventing me from logging into my banking app. The app says to contact my carrier and ask them to allow short code text messages from 872-265How can I get Koodo to unblock this number? I was receiving these texts when I was with another Canadian Cell provider in January.
HI all, i’ve seen similar questions and answers, but wondering if there’s anyway of checking if Koodoo is blocking the SMS from the banks phone numbers? I’ve called the bank and my number is listed correctly. I’ve had this number with Koodoo for 6 months and i’m confident i was able to receive SMS codes from this bank previously. The bank seem to think their number can be ‘blocked’ from sending SMS through. Apparently it can happen. Any ideas?
No problem with cell reception here for years until the past week or so. Started off, dialing any number would take 10-15 seconds to connect. Then dialing out would extend to 25+ seconds and not connect at all. Intermittent but frequent failures. Calls that connect frequently drop. Signal strength at my Samsung phone is -105 dbm. Anyone else in Thornbury area having problems?
I have a TLC 20 pro; everything was working fine with android 11.Last week it upgraded to android 12 and I started to have a problem right away calling out.when I call out it ring 2 times than it stops ringing for about 4 or 5 seconds than it starts ringing againand it will keep ringing until the other party answer or I get voice mail. The problem with that is the other party’s phone ring 2 times than it stop and look like it’s a drop call than 5 seconds later it start to ring again. Is there a way to go back to android 11 or maybe to reload android 12?thank you in advance
my husband and i just switched to koodo and now i cannot call him and he cannot call me but we can receive and make calls to other people. does anyone know why? and how to fix it?
I bought a prepaid SIM card in the US since I will be here for 2 months. It won’t connect. They tell me there are restrictions on my phone when they checked my IMEI. Why is this? Is it because I still have a tab on my phone? Do I have to pay this off before I can use a temporary US SIM?
I have two koodo phones - one is an iPhone XR (~3 years old) and the second on is a new iPhone 14 (2 months old). I use the XR, my daughter uses the 14. We have noticed that the signal on the 14 is significantly worse - we can be sitting right next to each other in the car and I have service and she does not. Likewise in buildings - many times she has no service and I do, Is there any explanation for this, is there some setting that could be causing this. I thought a newer phone would be better than my older one, but apparently not.
I have no internet without WI-FI. It worked fine for 3 years suddenly stopped this month with no reason. Usage for Feb 2023 is 0, my account is in good standing there was no changes to my phone or account. Help!!!!
Hi,Looking for the specific RFC IP ports required to properly configure a firewall to allow WIFI Calling. My research shows that there are some common standards but each carrier might have some distinct ones for their implementation. Could you document those for me please? Common RFC port assignments - UDP 500, UDP 4500, TCP 143Others I have seen - UDP 5060, 5061 - TCP 5060, 5061And any specific DNS/IP addresses if necessaryI have to provide this to the corporate security team to allow access as they have the network locked tight. Thanks
I work at a process plant, we have an an alarm system that sends sms messages automatically when certain process conditions happen. My problem is that I do not receive all messages. I know the system works because I receive most messages and my colleagues with Bell receive all messages. I believe it’s some spam filter from Koodo but can’t be sure.Messages are sent from an email address to (my number)@msg.koodomobile.com and contain around 120 characters.
Woke up this morning to cell phone (iPhone XR) telling me I had cellular issues, no service. Have latest software installed, tried restart, sim removal, network system reset. Second iPhone in house is fine, both have same carrier number, Koodo 53. Have mid-afternoon appointment with Apple, but am open to ideas.

I have just received a new physical SIM card in the mail for my new Koodo plan, but I cannot find information on how to transfer my old number to Koodo if the old number is on an eSIM. I am not able to follow the provided instructions from Koodo’s tutorials, as I do not have a physical SIM from the previous provider to remove. Please advise on how to proceed with the transfer. (I.e. do I need to use the “Delete eSIM” button in the iOS Cellular settings for the transfer to take place?
Due to service and network outages in the Okanagan with severe snow storms - I lost service and network for almost 3 weeks. I have just gotten a full monthly bill, but only used one week of service. Am I entitled to a refund or a credit for services? How would I go about that, as when I’ve gone in store - I was told no help via Koodo in person - only online..
Hi, I need to turn off the feature where people put in a number to reach me. How do I turn it off and on?
When I am traveling with my kids I create a hotspot for them so they can access the internet with their tablets and phones. YouTube is the only app that does not work, it says it is unavailable in my area. Can someone at Koodo help resolve this?
