WIFI Calling firewall port numbers

Hi,

Looking for the specific RFC IP ports required to properly configure a firewall to allow WIFI Calling. My research shows that there are some common standards but each carrier might have some distinct ones for their implementation. Could you document those for me please?

Common RFC port assignments - UDP 500, UDP 4500, TCP 143

Others I have seen - UDP 5060, 5061 - TCP 5060, 5061

And any specific DNS/IP addresses if necessary

I have to provide this to the corporate security team to allow access as they have the network locked tight.

Thanks

This is something that you’re going to want to talk to tech support about.

You can schedule a callback at: https://koodo.com/chat

Hi. That helps me but doesn’t help anyone else in the future. Most carriers have the information published.

thanks

Which ISP you were using? Koodo didn't have a page about ISP compatibility but Telus does. They also tell user to change DNS in those cases https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/wifi-calling-faq

Thanks Dinh.

Not an ISP issue (ISP isn’t on the list anyway), it is a corporate firewall with a severely restrictive network inbound and outbound policy set for security reasons. They need to know the details so they can add a rule to allow it.
