Moved to US -- want to talk about options for pausing number, can't get a callback because I only have US number

I want to talk to a person, but I can’t schedule a call back because I only have an american number. I want to talk about options for pausing my account, but I can’t get a person!!! Thinking of just cancelling my phone completely because of this terrible useless lack-of-customer-service loop I’m stuck in. Help!

LTE speed very slow

Hey there,I just moved to koodo.I tried a speed test because the mobile Internet seemed to rush. I barely got 4mb in download... my brother next to me is with koodo for years. He did a speed test on his 4G, he got 125 mb in download... I put my SIM card in his phone, we did a speed test, 4-5mb again.Conclusion : the issue is not my phone, it's my plan! Now I read on reddit a huge amount of feedback from people complaining of the same thing. So I'm here to get some help because I've been promised 4G speed so I want 4G speed lol.  Is it slow because I just moved to koodo and need to wait a bit for setup to be completed and all this or is there anything else? Earlier this evening, when trying to connect on data, it said "connected, no internet". I already tried to reset many mobile settings like network type, APNs, etc. I restarted the phone and all. Now, when connecting on Mobile data, it says "4G" instead of "no internet" but the speed is still terrifyingly low. Thanks to anyone who wil

my number only showing “Canada”, without any city and province

When i call someone, the location display only shows “Canada”. But other phone numbers are showing eg. Toronto, Ontariomay i know how to enable showing city and province? Is there any tweaks on iphone?my area code is 437 to supplement.

long distance perk, does it include mobile phones?

For the countries that are included in the free long distance perk, does it include mobile phones? For example, can I call France mobile phones or is it just landlines? This is not mentioned in the perk info.

Hello I just purchased a certified pre owned phone on a new line on my account for my daughter. She wants to walk school by herself or with her friends but I told her she needed a phone before she was able to. I just want to know if I can pay extra or if there was a way to get expedited shipping ?

I’m trying to buy a $15/month tablet data plan for a tablet I already own. I don’t need or want any of the tablets on the site, how can I add this service to my account? If I do it over the phone they charge me an activation fee. I just need the sim card and the plan.

5G speeds ?

Hello! I recently switched to a 5G plan and did a couple speed tests today and they are all at 4G speeds. You would think that this would be all automatic but is there anything that I could do? The speed tests I ran were on speed test.net and fast.com

Koodo service not working with Yeastar TG100 VoIP GSM/3G Gateway

Calling usa from Canada using us talk booster

I cannot find any information on calling from the USA, to a Canadian number, using US talk booster minutes.  Does such a call require a long distance booster as well?

I’m trying to add rollover data for my 3 lines for the last 6 months, I think, and always i get this message that I should try in an hour. And the chat is doesn’t help at all.Do I need to use another browser or the plans are not OK?

Porting phone number

I tried to transfer my phone number from my rogers account but I never received a text authorization text to respond YES to. I got a text a few hours later asking to reinitiate the request but still no text. The number I wanted to transfer to is now listed on my koodo account even though it says the transfer process was cancelled.  I can still call with my old rogers sim card. I don’t know what to do now?

Unidentified third party service purchase on monthly invoice

On my most recent bill I have an non-specific “third party service purchase” of $11.10: When I checked my data usage I see the following for one day (Aug 23) which corresponds to the extra charge of $11.10. I have no idea what the source of this charge might be, and I’d like it clearly identified before I pay it. I find it unconscionable that Koodo places third party charges on a customer’s invoice without identifying the third party. This puts the customer in a position wherein they don’t know if a third-party charge is legitimate. That’s ridiculous.

Phone not connecting to other carriers while traveling in-country

Hi Koodo Kommunity,I recently went backwoods camping with a friend and wasn’t able to connect with any kind of service (which is understandable).  However, my friend had reception and she is with Rogers.  Shouldn’t my phone have been able to connect with her coverage if mine is unavailable?  My data was set to active as was my phone’s roaming option.  I also manually attempted to connect to Rogers.  I just assumed that if I’m not able to connect with my service that I would be able to hop onto another provider’s.  Or is this not the case?Thanks,Clayton

Do new lines appear once new sims arrive?

Hey everyone,I have a koodo sim myself and wanted to set my two up on plans too, adding their lines to my account, so I ordered them each a new sim plan via self serve. It only let me order one at a time and each time made me click ‘add a line’ to go through to checkout, so seemed to make sense.My question is really a double-check have I done everything right? And when will their lines/plans appear on my self serve page? It shows no trace of the two new orders I’ve placed and doesn’t show 2 more lines anywhere - only my own monthly plan.Thanks!

Unlocking a LG A340

Grandfather was given this phone to replace his broken one, tossed his SIM in and its asking me to unlock it from Koodo, he cant remember who gave him the phone and unfortunately I dont live near him. Is there a AIO lock code for these things?  I tried searching online but its all asking for money to unlock it and because I’m not a Customer, I cant unlock it via Self Help?Current wait for a callback is 2 hours, currently in que .  Wondering if anyone here has any ideas or can help?

Payment issue

Hi, I'm a prepaid customer. In June, I set up an automatic bill payment in my bank account but it didn't work so in July I got an invoice with  $113.68 (with 56$ due from June). I accidently made 2 transactions, one was on July 05 with $56 and the other was on July 31 with $113.68 so in total I paid $169.68 which should have been $113.68 for June and July invoice. I've just received an voice of $56 for August while I already transfered extra $56 from last month. Can Koodo's customer service please check?

Business trip to USA

Hello,I was in California in July and just recently checked my bill only to realize that it’s crazy high compared to regular months. It looks like I was charged for phone calls I had made because I had lost my passport in the inbound plane. Luckily, I found my passport and was able to return safely but nonetheless, I am not happy to see that two phone calls are costing me about 100$ more than usual. I have the wifi calling option turned on my phone and was really sure to be connected to the free airport wifi when doing the calls. Also, I had opted for roaming by answering “YES” to the automated text message when landing.Anyways, is there a way to contests these fees and settle an agreement? 100$ for a couple phone calls is a bit ridiculous in this day of computer age and if I had been well aware these calls were going to cost me that much, I would’ve opted for an e-sim or some roaming plan in the first place.

How to tell if I am paying for 4G/LTE or 5G?

I have seen advice to check your plan details to see if you have 4G/LTE or 5G support. My plan (pictured below) is quite old and does not state this information. How do I know what I am paying for?
