I would like smartwatches with cellular compatibility to operate independently from smartphones, essentially offering standalone plans or add-ons. It's surprising that Koodo, owned by Telus, hasn't shown much interest in providing this option. I'm amazed that Koodo and Telus aren't striving to stay ahead in the market. Particularly since, Virgin Plus a Bell subsidiary, is now offering Smartwatch plans with their proprietary NumberShare system. It's time for Koodo to catch up and offer similar features to remain current.
Hi there, I can't get through to a real person via the chat box, so I'll ask here.My new phone (S22ultra) came in the mail without a pin or box. How am I able to insert my new Sim card without the pin? I feel lost and frustrated as I currently can't do text or calls. Thank you for your help!
How do I transfer sim from iPhone 7 to esim on iPhone 14 says to contact Koodo. What do I do
Is it possible to connect the WHP hub in such a way that I can also use all the existing wall jacks in my home? I know this is possible with Bell’s home phone modem/hub and perhaps Rogers’ as well.
I was using an eSIM on my old phone. I recently switched to a Tab plan and received a new phone with a new SIM card. However, when I insert the SIM card into my new phone, it cannot be detected. I also tried transferring the eSIM to my new phone, but that didn’t work either. Now I’m stuck using my old phone, as the eSIM is still functioning on it.What should I do next?
All lights green but lan light flashing red
My existing Koodo Prepaid phone is 8.0 Android (branded CAT, but mostly that’s extra stuff for contractors, otherwise it looks pretty standard Android). My new phone is a Moto G 5G 2024 sent to me by Koodo along with a new plan. That’s a 6 or 7 OS version jump. So here’s my questions: How likely is a large jump in OS result in some awful outcome during setup? (If it was to be really hazardous, I should not even try to move over anything other than the SIM…. but if it should work without much of a fuss, I’d like to try to bring over some other data) How much of the data produced by apps will I need to move manually? (Given the gap in OS levels, I’d be surprised if every app is currently available for the now OS….)The most critical parts are: Google calendar Google contacts Google gmail Google photos Some downloaded documentsUseful:Google Maps Apps from a few note taking apps Shazam items I want to purchase later A few MP3s of meetings from High-Q MP3 RecorderHow much of that should c
Hi Koodo Community,I'm having an issue accessing my voicemail from another phone. When I dial my area code and phone number and press the * key after the greeting (as I've done before), it no longer allows me to enter my voicemail password. Instead, the greeting continues to play, and it prompts me to leave a message. Can you assist me with resolving this issue? Thanks.
Hi There,My work involves helping homeless men.A little over a week ago, I had a 89 year old man who got his Iphone with Koodo SIM card stolen. The thief is using the phone without even removing the SIM card. It rang when I called abt 30 mins ago. He got access to the old man’s Facebook and Whatsapp. Unfortunately he is unable to sign in to Icloud and therefore he is not able to track the device.I know it is a long shot but Is there anything Koodo can do in retrieving the device from the thief?
Years ago I transferred a Voice Over IP (VOIP) number to make it my permanent cell phone number. It worked great except on rare occasions, I encounter apps that still consider my number to be a VOIP number and refuse to accept the number. It happened with UBER and SnapChat in the past but they now accept VOIP number. Today it happened again with ticketmaster. I can’t create an account as it said that my phone number is not supported. There must be something the telco (Koodo) can do to mark my number as not a VOIP number but a cell number. I am not sure where to go for help on this one.
I recently got koodo internet.Everything is setup, the modem is showing full connection; wifi shows a green light, but I can’t access any webpage, other than the wifi router page. On my Koodo cell phone how can I increase incoming call rings from two to six
I tried accessing my voicemail from my wireless home phone yesterday and when prompted to press ‘1’ to check the new voicemails, it wouldn’t do anything. Then I would hang up the phone and try again and the voicemail menu would still be running. Today, the voicemail menu is still running when I hit the ‘talk’ button on the phone and I can’t even make a call out.
I resolved the issue myself but decided to post here anyway in case it helps someone else.I have an Android 13 phone with Koodo prepaid plan. Mobile data works on the phone itself, APN configured as specified at https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phoneMobile hotspot and USB tethering can share a WiFi connection but not the mobile LTE data. Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Access point namesI believe the entry labelled “TELUS ISP” of type dun is the source of the problem, but it cannot be edited or deleted, and I cannot create another entry of type dun to override it. SolutionEdit/create the APN specified at https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phoneand change MVNO type from None to GID (IMSI also works)For whatever reason this causes the other entries to disappear, and mobile data sharing via hotspot or tethering now works without issue.
why my name in iphone imessage chat say “maybe: name”?i also have a voicemail for my old number that i cant access and i cant get rid of the notification.the koodo onboarding is a solid 4/10 so far,

I cant seem to use the network for the new koodo sim card.i accepted “yes” to leave the old network. and my number successfully appears on my koodo self serve. but when i go to make a call I cant call or use any data on my phone now.in my esim settings on iphone i still see the original Koodo number they gave me for the new sim card…??my phone number that i want to use has no network.I also did not get a koodo welcome message to my new number that I ported over? waht is goin on here?
hello. i have an old iphone 4 and it is network locked to koodo. how can i unlock it so it reads other carrier sim cards. is there a carrier unlock code i can put into the phone or do have to go to the store and physically get it done. thanks
When I call a certain number in the 867 area code from my Koodo-powered cell phone I get an error message of the kind “sorry this call did not go through”. When I call the same number from another phone the call goes through and I hear the recorded announcement that is associated with that number. Is it my phone? Or is it Koodo? I’d lke to know who/what is messing up here, and if someone else with a Koodo account could call that number and let me know what they hear, that would be helpful. The number is **55 (area code shown at the top of this message). Many thanks!
I had prime but have since cancelled through Amazon and it's fully finished. However, I attempted to add Prime through Koodo prior to the cancellation. It appeared like it had gone through but had actually not and I got changed for prime via Amazon again and cancelled at that point. Now on my Amazon orders list shows an order of Prime by Koodo but it says it costs 0 dollars and is continuing to say that it will be shipped. When I attempt to link Prime by Koodo through Stream + I now get an error stating "Activation error: this account is not eligible for this benefit." I have a feeling that the issue is the purchase on the order page that is just hanging there. I've contacted Amazon support a few times to remove the 0 dollar/obviously isn't going to ship purchase but that doesn't seem to be a thing they can do. Over a number of days they messaged the seller a few times "Amazon CA" for help and then to cancel but no response. They then gave me the customer service number for Koodo on t
after installing the koodo sim card i cannot receive or send pictures with mms messenger. I can send text messages but no photos. When i check the status of the phone it says IMS not reregistered. any ideas on how to correct ?
How do you set up RCS in a iPhone 15 Pro Max that has a Koodo #
We have the wireless home phone. As I understand, it’s connected through LTE, not my home wireless. Suddenly, our phone has stopped working. Can’t dial out, can’t call in. The ZTE modem is showing red on the wireless icon. I’ve unplugged etc but nothing.
Hi guys, I have a low-rate data free plan.I made a quick post the other day and was instructed a bit about iMessaging and how that may be the culprit as to why I am not receiving SMS messages anywhere but in my network region. I followed all instructions, my spouse is using Bell but has iMessaging turned off as well. I am still not receiving messages from her when I am out of the house. I am getting pretty frustrated. I say ‘nerd’ because I am decent at figuring out electronics, and if not - Goggling and figuring out.I feel I am paying for a completely useless device in my pocket. I may need a serious walk-through as to how to simply get messages. Regular old messages.I am Koodo (Obviously). The main person I care about is my spouse and she is Bell, if that matters at all.I would love to know that I am also able to get messages from simply everyone. Carrier should not matter. This has been on-going since I’ve switched to Koodo. I am just about ready to run fast and far from Koodo unfort
I have been paying for this ridiculous service, with ridiculous customer service, for months now. I do NOT get text messages…...until I get home. ALWAYS. Yes I have an iPhone, yes I understand iMessaging, I do NOT get why I do NOT get ANY messages until I get home though? What’s up?Why am I paying? I literally want my money back. I am not a total cell phone geek guy, but I’m not technologically idiotic. There is no way and no reason I should not receive text messages for free, while out of the house, while off of my network. What the heck is going on?Yes I have an iPhone and my plan comes without data, so before anyone asks - there is your answer.Do I need data for simple text messages? No I do not. I am a former Bell user, and NEVER had a problem. This is so frustrating, I am paying monthly and carrying around an $800 piece of trash in my pocket. It does nothing!
