Anyway, was your phone from Koodo originally?
I did do this back earlier this year (Feb) when Koodo mentioned the APN update. It worked fine all year, that is until the last couple of weeks. I checked and the APN settings match what is mentioned in the link. That’s why i’m flumoxed as to why images sent from an iPhone aren’t coming across on my Android phone.
Any other ideas?

Hi Dinh, the phone was not originally from Koodo. It’s a TCL 20 SE. It has worked fine on the network up to now.
Is it just the receiving part you are hacing issues with? Did you recently update the firmware on your phone?

Yes, when I click on the incoming image to download it … it returns with the message “One or more media attachments were removed”. I can send both text and images correctly to other folks using iPhone from my Android, and I can receive regular text-based texts from iPhones but not images (prior to about 2 weeks ago I could receive the images correctly from iPhones).

There’s been alot of updates on the phone from Google Playstore. I don’t believe there were any firmware updates.
Try and clos RCS by goign to Message settings (assuming Google Messages) then General, then RCS Chat then turn off RCS. Whether that will address the problem I have no idea but it should be easy to try.
Also, do you still have useable data on your plan?
Hi Robert, i tried disabling RCS, and then had a friend text me an image from his iPhone, it came back with same message “One or more media attachments were removed”. Yes I still have a sizeable amount of data remaining on the plan this month. Any other thoughts to try?

The changes has become in effect recently. It wasn’t uncommon to see report of non-canadian model phones had issue with MMS.
