How do I get a better plan? I’ve got the same plan I had 3 years ago with 2GB of 4G data and nationwide calling and texting which is all I need. I don’t need 5G, though a little more data would be nice in case I come up close to my cap (which I have once or twice. I never had a tab and don’t want one.If I were a new customer, I could get 10GB of 4G data for $39 or $30GB for $45 with all of the above, but because I have a plan that costs more than that, Self-Serve won’t give me these options. So I’m stuck with a low data cap or upgrading to 5G which I don’t want at a higher cost. Everything Koodu and Telus does seems only to be to extract more money out of you each month, rather than save you any. If I went to Freedom or Chatr or Virgin or even Public Mobile (which Telus now owns I could get 10-30GB of 4G plus voice and data for $34-$40 a month. Why won’t Koodu try to retain me? Why do they make it so bloody difficult and expensive to pay a reasonable amount for what everybody else
If you purchase a phone through Koodo and pay the full amount upfront and then add device care and a plan but then decide to cancel the plan a few months later, can you still keep paying for the monthly device care or are the plan and device care linked together? Thanks
I just got one of those “exclusive new monthly deal” texts. $35 for 15GB of data. I currently have 5gb of 4g data, and don’t want to drop back to 3g. Anyone know the speed of the “deal” data package?
I recently switched from 4g to 5g data plan. I went into my mobile network settings and it's showing as 5g, but when I got this phone, a Samsung S22 ultra, 5g wasn't available with koodo, it is now, but I think my sim card is showing as 4g, how do I get that to 5g? When I in my home, my data is slow, and on 4g but I had to run an errand, and I noticed my data went to 5g. So why not 5g at home.
Hi, I made an interional call to cancel a subscription I had in the UK but got put on hold for 93 minutes, Not only did I not manage to get through on hold but I was just looking at my Koodo account and saw an unbilled fee for $180+ I need help because I don’t think I should pay this and I can’t afford to, When I bought my contract the sales representative was very clear to me that I would have a spending limit on my account to avoid any additional fees on my monthly bill. I was happy with this because I wanted to avoid any small print items that wasn’t made clear to me when entering the contract. Not only this but there was no warning of this when making the international call so I thought that since it let me there would be no additional charge. I’d like to know what possibble solutions there are to this problem. I am happy to pay for the international call add on and get my call back dated to that rate which seems like a fair solution to the problem but I can’t pay this if it beco
I want to change one of my phone plans to sms and call only, but the cheapest option that i can change to has internet and it costs 45$! Even more than what i pay now. Is there a plan that has only sms and calls and costs only 20-25$?
Hi, I need more data for this month as I’m travelling, but I have some issues with Koodo at the moment Firstly, I was told when I signed up that I got free rollover data, I have never hit my data limit before so I should have plenty of rollover data but I can’t see it anywhere in my account? My partner who signed up at the same time with the same person in store has rollover data so where is mine?i also got a text saying I could add 18GB of data for $3 extra dollars a month but when I tried this I got an error message saying my account has changed which I never did? Please help:)
Hey all! Yesterday I ordered a new phone, and the phone I chose came with a $375 bill credit ($25 over 15 months). I had to select a new plan as well and chose the $65 5G plan. Today when I logged in, there is a banner saying I can switch to the same plan for $60. Obviously I would love to pay $5 less for the same plan, but I’m worried I’d lose my bill credit. But it did seem that the bill credit was a perk of the new phone, not the plan. Anyone know if the bill credit will be lost if i change my plan (either now or in the future)?
I just signed up for this plan as a snowbird. I have a 5G phone and most carriers in the US are 5G. As this plan is 4G, will that cause me any problems with calling or texting while in the USA?
I just upped my gigs and now internet lags and my streaming shows buffer. UGH!! Has anyone else gone from the 4gig for 45/mnth to the 40gigs andexperienced really spotty connection when using 5g? I have my own phone and no tab left (woohoo!!) if that matters at all
I used prepaid chatr, and at the Filipino party in Calgary in Canada there was a Koodo provider and they told me that if I switched with them they would give me 40GB and unlimited international minutes, I just received my bill for more than 300 CAD
Is there a way for me to purchase Koodo device protection (or whatever it’s called) for a non-koodo device? If so, how.
I’m on a minimalist plan of 3 GB data/month at $35/month. Looking at adding a line and a phone to the account. The plans I can choose include for instance 60 GB/month. Will this be shared data for both phones or each phone or what?
I was calling an amazon call center the other day and it turns out my call was to Seattle. I just got my bill today and there was a charge for $37 for this call. Is there any way to block outgoing calls to other countries, or at least provide a warning ahead of the call?
Hi there. I recently got a message about my phone being available for VoLTE and to turn it on to continue receiving service, but I am unable to find the option to turn it on.I have a Pixel 2 (Not XL) with Android 11, going into Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile Network, I do not see a VoLTE option within as the guide here says for Google phones: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/volteHow do I turn on VoLTE on a Pixel 2?
I see that I have the option to change my plan to $60 with 5G and 60GB, but it always breaks when I have to select a perk. The perk that I am trying to get is Rollover data with that plan.
I'd like to pay off my tab and change my plan to one of the promotional ones (cheaper). Self-serve only allows me to change to more expensive plans. There's nothing in the "legal stuff" section saying I can't do this... So why can't I?
I recently switched to the 5g plan on my iPhone 12 mini but the service has not been provided. 5g does not show under “voice and data”. I am in Toronto so towers are not the issue. Tried restarting my phone , reinsert sim , reset network settings.
I am trying to switch my rate plan from the 10GB 4G @ $37/mo to the 20GB 4G @ $37/mo, (Happy Day Deals) but am not seeing the 20GB deal in the plans available for me to choose from in self-serve.. How do I switch and get the deal?
Good Morning!I started this discussion post because I have a (seemingly) simple question yet I cannot find an clear answer anywhere. A lot of conflicting replies on older posts.Last Black Friday, I ported two numbers to Koodo, one for me and one of my partner. I was offered the “60$ per month” plan with 25gb 4g data and some other perks WITH an 20 dollar as well as a 5 dollar monthly credit for a total of 25$ off every month. This made the base plans 35$ a month essentially. Now, I was checking the self serve to pay a bill and an offer popped up, it said I can get 60gb of 5g data for 60$ a month. My question is, if I were to switch to this plan, because the base price is the same as my old plan, will the 20+5 credit also apply to this new plan. In other words, will I still be paying approximately 35 dollars because tax for 60gb 5g data? Thanks in advance for your help here!
I want to talk to a person, but I can’t schedule a call back because I only have an american number. I want to talk about options for pausing my account, but I can’t get a person!!! Thinking of just cancelling my phone completely because of this terrible useless lack-of-customer-service loop I’m stuck in. Help!
For the countries that are included in the free long distance perk, does it include mobile phones? For example, can I call France mobile phones or is it just landlines? This is not mentioned in the perk info.
Hello! I recently switched to a 5G plan and did a couple speed tests today and they are all at 4G speeds. You would think that this would be all automatic but is there anything that I could do? The speed tests I ran were on speed test.net and fast.com
I cannot find any information on calling from the USA, to a Canadian number, using US talk booster minutes. Does such a call require a long distance booster as well?
I’m trying to add rollover data for my 3 lines for the last 6 months, I think, and always i get this message that I should try in an hour. And the chat is doesn’t help at all.Do I need to use another browser or the plans are not OK?
