Let me first preface this post by saying my issue has been resolved by some amazing staff at Koodo, so this post is more about making others aware, but I would appreciate if experts or actual Koodo employees were able to weigh in on it. TL;DR: Fraudsters gonna fraud. I received a call (several, in fact) from a person claiming to be with the "Koodo Loyalty Department", offering me a 30% discount on my current rate, and then a free upgrade to my handset. I was told I could remain with my existing plan - which is very good, in my opinion - but when I was selecting the phone, I was directed to one of two specific models. The one I'd selected also indicated I'd have to change my plan, which while I wasn't necessarily happy about, the new plan was also pretty decent. It did show my monthly payment suddenly jump from the alleged discounted rate to nearly double my current monthly rate. I was also instructed to not tell the order verification staff about the conversation I'd had with the "
The eSim provider I’m considering (Ubigi) suggested to verify if my SIM was carrier locked and Chat GPT suggested the following steps to verify: with a Pixel 7: Open Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs. Tap your SIM (e.g. “Koodo”). Look for any option or message about “Network unlocked” or “Carrier locked.” If it says Unlocked, you’re good to go. If there’s no mention, continue below. However, when I click on the Koodo SIM, I don’t see any “network unlocked” or “carrier locked”I can confirm that with the steps Ubigi gave me that my phone supports eSims. Thanks!
For starters I have never purchased outbound call display name. People inform me that the name “growth marketing” shows up when I call them. I need this to stop as I use my phone for work. thanks in advance
I am traveling abroad and looking at adding an esim to my phone for data. I went into my settings and connections and there is no “esim card manager” option to add an esim. I think Koodo has to do something on their end to enable this. Can you help me Koodo? Thank you. Paul
Hi,I just got off the phone from a representative and tech person claiming to be from Telus offering a discount for being a good customer for always paying my phone bill on time for Koodo (since they’re linked). However, I just switched back to Koodo a couple weeks ago and separated my name and number from an old Koodo account with my grandmother who’s still on Koodo. I haven’t even had to pay my first bill yet. But they’re offering 30% discount for the next two years bringing my phone bill from $34 to $30? Or offer the $30 instead for 2 years no contract, can cancel anytime etc. It was hard to understand what he was saying with the accent. I understood enough that he said I needed to pay off my first bill first before they can add the discount and I’m like, “Yeah okay I can do that.”I get to the tech guy while trying to pay my bill early and he’s now telling me I don’t need to pay my bill to get the discount, he’ll send an email with the offer. Like a dummy I gave him my email I use w
I received a call from 1 844 518 7852. They made me an offer. I ended up giving them my address and birth date, but then they asked for driver license number. As i was not certain i ended the call, is there a way to verify if a call from koodo is legit. they also sent me an email from this address koodo@e.koodomobile.com.
Hello! When purchasing an Easy Roam Travel Pass, does it include ALL phones on the account, or does each phone need its own Travel Pass? Thanks in advance!

Just wondering what type of signal booster I would use if I get Koodo home internet and needed one.
I need to receive short codes and ideally want to be able to forward the code to another cell phone. Is this possible? Is it possible to a USA cell? Thank you.

My mother subscribed to Telus TV+ along with Internet and cell. Once the boxes were received, I went over to install everything, added the app on her TV, but she only gets a fraction of channels she was told she would get. I've called 6x to get assistance and have failed miserably to resolve the issue. We even purchased a Fire Stick as we were told it may be a solution which was a waste of money. I live 40 minutes away and am a farmer so leaving my home to go resolve her TV issues is not done easily. This problem has been ongoing for almost a month now, and she is now considering canceling everything. I would like a technician to go see her, Koodo or Telus should provide these services to all Seniors instead of leaving them to deal with this. PS - Mom’s phone, internet and Telus TV+ is linked to my own Koodo account.
I have a family member on a monthly plan who cannot access his account and can’t view his bills. This is due to a combination of factors:He forgot his password. The email he used to create his account was deleted due to inactivity (and cannot be created again) and therefore he cannot recover his password. Since starting his plan, he moved to a different province within Canada and no longer has the last 4 digits of his drivers license which is apparently necessary for Koodo customer support to verify his identity. What are his options? He is essentially being held hostage at this point, getting billed each month, with no way to view his bills or make changes to his account.
I am unable to make outgoing SSH (secure shell) connections from any of my computers (to outside machines) when using the Koodo router. If I switch back to my previous service (Bell, still active), everything works fine. Seems to be something in the router’s firewall settings, but neither setting “All other ports” to Outgoing nor even turning the firewall OFF has any effect. Is there a way to allow outgoing SSH connections with this router? To be clear, I am not trying to SSH _into_ any of my home computers from outside, nor an I am trying to SSH into the router. (These are the questions I found asked quite often, but I found nothing regarding my situation, where outgoing connections are blocked.) Or do I have to get my own router to bypass this one’s limitations?
I just subscribed to international minutes 1000 per month on my Koodo plan and have run into an issue on the first call - I tried a UK landline number and get the 11b1 message. The minutes were active from yesterday and the landline is functional for other other users. Any ideas what's going on there? Thanks
I just returned from the Apple Store where my iPhone needed a physical fix as it was, ironically, not connecting to cellular networks. My phone now has regained that ability, but as part of the fixing process all the data had to be erased from my phone —including the esim data. The phone has been restored from the backup but the esim data is apparently not included. How do I regain my esim info so I can return to using cellular services?
I already have Easy Roam as an add on to my plan. Am travelling to the US this week and am likely to use my phone most days, so purchasing the 7 day Easy Roam Travel Pass is likely a better choice. Can anyone confirm that if I purchase the Easy Roam Travel Pass, the Easy Roam daily fee will NOT also automatically kick in? Am wondering if I should turn off Easy Roam before I buy and use the Easy Roam Travel pass.Tks.
Well, the title pretty much is my question -- will my Koodo SIM card work in an S24 that was purchased from Telus? And will the phone be fully capable of using Koodo’s VoLTE function when 3G shuts down?
I recently bought two Blink cameras to monitor an elderly relative. I can access the cameras on my phone while I’m at her location, but anywhere else I get a network failure message. Blink suggests it could be a security setting issue on my phone, or a data limit problem. Can anyone help? Thanks.
