Hi!

What is the process to change the name on an account? We would like to take advantage of the streaming deal but the Koodo account is under one name and the streaming accounts are all under another... We'd like to try and change the Koodo account name so it then reflects the same details as the streaming accounts.

Hi there,

so for security reasons in order to have a name changed on a Koodo account you actually have to visit your closest Koodo store and have them send a name change form for you. After you present them with a valid piece of ID they can send off the form.

Now just so you know though the names don’t actually have to match to take advantage of Stream+. Once you sign up for Stream+ with a visa debit or credit card, you will then be sent 3 emails, 1 for each subscription. Once you follow the links in the emails it will just ask for you to sign into either a Disney+, Netflix, or Amazon Prime account that you would like to be attached to it. It can be any account just once you sign in that will be the account that is linked to Stream+. I hope this helps 🙂

Hi @JenniferDean, if you’re referring to changing the name on the account as in changing the account holder, you can do that through a Transfer of Ownership. Here is more information on this process https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/transfer-of-ownership-town

If you want to change the name due to a name change or misspelling then you would need to visit a store with a piece of photo ID as @Oliver C mentioned above.
