I need help porting my number. I am in a foreign country and I started a request to port my phone number to http://voip.ms. I was told the request would be completed by 8 AM EST today but I have received no update.
The company you are porting to should be the main point of contact. Did you get the text message from Koodo about the port request and replying to it? Do you have a port block protection on your account?
I did not receive an SMS but I called customer support and they told me they approved the request on my behalf and I don’t need to do anything more. The other carrier just keeps telling me there has been no update from Koodo.
It takes longer for port transfers to VoIP services typically. If Koodo says it’s been approved, then voip.ms should be continuing with the process. I’ve done this before and it just took more time than I thought.
