Why can I not get over 25 MB per second? Have been on 5G for probably 8 months and I live on South Vancouver Island. The coverage map here shows 5G all around me. I don't think koodo may have changed my cap when I switch from LTE plan to 5G how do I get this looked at and changed?

Today I enabled private DNS which I didn't even know was a feature on my phone, and I'm now getting consistently over 100 MB per second, I have no idea how that fix my data speed limit but it has. I'm now getting what I should be

@Jayfox1 I am using Samsung phone. I went to phone reset page and there I chose, reset network settings. Takes about 1 second to complete. Then I rebooted my phone. I saw a difference in speed. But it wasn’t as much I wanted. I contacted support, they did the same thing but this time, they reset the network settings from their end too while my phone was switched off instead of rebooting. So, please try these steps and hopefully you get better speeds. Also, make sure under your network settings you have chosen automatic network or make sure it is selected to 5G/LTE.

There are a lot of issue that can affect your speed test. Make sure you know where the 5G tower is, and try to stay close to it and run speed test. This page might help https://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/cancellsites.html

I'm literally like 200 ft from the nearest 5G Tower. I think they kept the cap when I left lte 4G I don't think they lifted the cap when I migrated to 5G and I would like it fixed. However, koodo has to do it and I don't know how to get a hold of them to get it done

Have you tried restarting your phone? Does it improve when you put your SIM card into another device?
