Hi Everyone, I’ve signed up for Koodo Mobile yesterday and I’ve had the unfortunate circumstance of facing difficulties at almost every stage of the signup process. I requested to port my number from Freedom, but spent the last 48 hours in the blank. Koodo has informed me that Freedom and Virgin Mobile have been experiencing issues with their service and have been unable to send a Port Request SMS.Therefore, the Koodo Customer Service Rep changed my temporary number in hopes of pushing through the request. That attempt initially failed and I had to endure a 48 hour wait before randomly getting a Port SMS. Upon accepting and replying “YES” my original number was disconnected and upon putting the new Koodo sim card in my phone the number was never ported (or potentially ported to the original temporary number assigned). In any event, I’ve setup three call backs and I can’t manage to receive any assistance.  The automated system asks me to select “1 to talk to a re

Hello, i ordered a new phone , its unlocked from a. 3rd party. Can i just put the sim i have in my existing phone into the new phone? The new phone is unlocked i bought from 3rd party, nothing to do with Koodo. Will it lock the SIM card up forcing me to have to buy a new sim at a kiosk? Its the same nano sim size so,……. Can i just put the sim i have into the new phone?Thanks.  Existing customer, existing phone dieing hard and surely, trying to avoid extra costs or stupid steps. Please make life easy for me PLEASE. Is it as simple as just move it the sim over? thanks

For years I have had a bring your own phone plan. I pay $40 for 500mb data, 500 minutes, and unlimited text messaging. I am now looking at changing my plan and I see a prepaid plan for $30 that is 500mb+500mb with automatic top up, and unlimited calling and messaging. This is a better plan for cheaper. I was wondering what the difference was between prepaid plans and a bring your own phone plan, and if there was any downsides to a prepaid vs my regular phone plan. Any help/information would be greatly appreciated.

There have been many threads on this but have not seen anyone post evidence to show data usage from their phones to rule out apps draining data in the background. I’m experiencing the same thing as everyone has said, random blocks of exactly 100.00 MB of data being used, sometimes more (as much as 1600.00 MB in my case). Yesterday I received an automated text stating I’ve used 90% of my data for this billing cycle.Here are some screenshots showing what the built in android data tracker is reporting vs what Koodo is reporting. I don’t expect them to be exactly the same but when the difference is about 6 GBs, something is definitely wrong.  I don’t think rogue apps are to blame here.Phone: Pixel 4 - Build RQ3A.211001.001 (October 2021 update)

I am 5 days into my cycle and I got a text saying I’ve used over 5G. I’ve never used 5 G in a wholemonth before. When I check on self serve it shows that I’m at 6521/10240, but when I click on view details it shows I’ve only used 518.1641 MB. That’s a pretty massive difference. Which one will Koodo use? Will j get overage charges if the first one is wrong or will it use the detailed number? This is my first month with Koodo so I’m not sure if I should be calling them or if someone can help me here. I bought a phone. for my kids qe had it for 2 days and they lost it so months later I finally bought another phone and a new sim card but how do I activate the sim card it's only option says I found my phone but I didn't find it I just bought another phone and want to activate the new sim in it how do I do that without saying I found my phone???

Hello,I received a roaming alert by Koodo. The e-mail stated:Looks like ***-***-3260 is roaming on a USA network. Just so you know! . . . I am in Canada. Someone else would be currently roaming with my phone number in the United States, or somewhere else.How can this unapproved using of my telephone number be ended?I have not activated roaming in my account. I cannot block this kind of third party roaming. I cannot call Koodo in this matter; and I don’t find any assistance online.What can be done?Sincerely,Rene

I’ve blocked about 7 numbers which is working very well however since then, I’ve had some friends trying to call me and they need to press a one single digit to be able to bypass the blocking feature.  Is this part of the blocking option, because most of them don’t listen to all of the message and hang up without hearing the prompt to enter the single digit number to proceed.  Hope my question is clear enough. then they tell me, “ I tried to call you but your number’s blocked” TY

Hi. I cannot receive sms verification codes from my bank overseas. I don't see records of texts from the bank in my message history when I log in to koodo self serve, so that rules out the possibility that the issue is with my phone. I can receive texts from family abroad.Does koodo block texts from overseas banks?  I've seen a few threads on this same issue but couldn't really find a solution posted. I also looked into the Canada sms short codes list (https://www.txt.ca/en/) and don't see my bank listed on there. However, there are other banks on the list from the same country overseas. I'm really at loss as to what to do next. If anyone has a solution to this, would really appreciate the help. Thank you!

I want to verify the process for verifying an add a line order done with a rep on the phone. I received a text with an AAL offer and called the number from in the message. After discussing with the agent decided to go through with an activation. The asked standard account verification questions like my PIN, DOB and address. Then was asking credit verification question, which felt personal and unnecessary since this is an additional line, and no credit check would be done. The agent explained it was a 4 question verification process that needed to be done for any addition of services. It was questions like the province my SIN was issued. I was uncomfortable with this. She was saying its mandatory guidelines from the CRTC which I know to be untrue. So my question is, is this actually a verification process standard to koodo? 

Can I change back my # to the previous one I had?

Hi There, Can someone help? Does Koodo track websites  you have visited  online and knows what website you previously used? Does Koodo know what website you use even if it’s inappropriate. Last is your browsing history tracked at all. I hope you get this message and look forward to hearing from you soon. 

i went to KOODO at St Laurent Shopping Centre Ottawa.  Oh boy, that  will be the last time I go there.  Husband wanted to upgrade phone.  I didnt have any idea to prove who I was.  He did.  We are both seniors, and I am waiting for knee replacement.  So the walk to into the mall was hard on the knee.  Anyway, she refused service to us both.   She was rude and told me it was policy.  I provided her with all the information she needed except for a piece of ID!  Why the heck would I be there trying to upgrade for anyone else! We found another KOODO/TELUS and guess what, wasnt asked for one piece if ID.  Didnt get a phone due to the one wanted was no where to be found.  Anyway, our entire family is with KOODO and we are seriously thinking if changing providers. Your customer service is really  bad!  I have been in customer service for 20 years.

Is koodo give coverage in nova scotia

Hi, I bought SIM and got a Koodomobile number. There are problems with this number. I already bought it as a new number. However, it’s still in system on many apps. For example, I can not use this number to create Uber account because it is already used by the previous owner. They sent Code throught regristed email and number, but the regristed email is not mine. Therefore, now i cant create account on app if I dont use other number.  Same situations with Uber Eat and some other apps. Now, I wonder how to solve this issue? 

Ive been trying to find a way to contact customer service for days now.  Only way i can find is to get a call back… What happened to being able to call em and sit on hold? this is the dumbest customer service model ive seen yet.  I work overnights so during the day i sleep.  Now the only way to get in contact with them is to have to interrupt my schedule and wait on them… how does that makes sense? i get that they have alot of customers and this eases the workload on them but dos ANYONE know of a number or a way other than a callback to get ahold of CS?

Hi,  It's been 8 days now that I have been receveing calls like this number V92616013600002. I never answer (I tried once and nothing on the line appened), I keep blocking them and report spam and I keep receveing calls, like over 20 it's really annoying and I dont know what to do...

Switched from Rogers to Koodo over a week ago. Phone is still not sending or receiving text messages. iMessages work fine. Have tried restarting phone, airplane mode, resetting network settings multiple times , still doesn’t work. Went to the Koodo booth, they couldn’t help me. Have tried scheduling two callbacks and no Koodo rep has called. I’ve called the Koodo support number with no success. Help?! Thanks! 

I am a prepaid customer and I would like to download my call history from around 8 months ago to prove that a call did not happen. Is there any way of doing this? The billing section does not have a “download previous bills” option.

i tried to have my sim card replaced.. got a new one and tried online to switch it over had no luck called the number on the sim card with multiple complications along the way they said it was going to be switched to the new one when the call droped… so now i power off and put in the new card power on and now i can use ither one of the cards and i had no phone to get a hold of them
