Feedback on a fantastic customer service
I transferred my phone number to Koodo with Uvays D in a local store (6464 Yonge St, North York, ON M2M 3X4) at 15:00 ET today.Before I communicated with him, I had spoken to many representatives about this request but none of them could help me proceed with it. Instead of repeating the official language mechanically like others, he helped me resolve those problems and I felt his patience and professionalism. I finally found a person who can truly assist me after 2 months of looking for a way to complete the request.
Extreme data usage
This morning I received a notification at 7:11 am that I had used 50% of my data. Six minutes later I received back to back notifications that I had used 90% and 100% of my data. When I logged into my account to see what was going on it showed that I had somehow used 1763 MB of data. My normal daily usage is around 5MB but can go up to 30MB when I’m out and about. I never use my phone for streaming movies or music. Seeing as all I had done up to that point was check my email, news app and answer 1 text how is it possible to have used that much data in so short a time?
Wanted to provide feedback on a wonderful customer service call
Hi,I received a callback from Suzana from Romania (I assume that’s how her name is spelt, apologies if I made a mistake) at 6pm ET and she stayed with me on the line for more than an hour and a half, answering all of the questions I had with a lot of knowledge and patience. She mentioned that I would be given a survey after the call but I have not received any texts yet, so I am worried it might have been directly after the call and I unknowingly hung up.. So I wanted to post my appreciation for her here, I saw someone else posted a similar thing a while back. Hopefully this reaches her. I wanted to acknowledge not only the friendly professionalism she maintained throughout our phone call, but the consideration and care she had for my problems. She is probably the most knowledgeable customer rep I’ve dealt with and I’ve dealt with a lot. She managed to help me with all of my issues. Suzana was very courteous and genuine - she didn’t sound robotic or inauthentic like people in this line
voicemail asks for mailbox number and says invalid
Hello! I’ve been accessing my voicemail successfully for months, but now, when I Call Voicemail, I’m prompted to select language and then enter a mailbox number. When I enter my number, “you have dialled an invalid number.” My number hasn’t changed. I’m able to access messages, self-serve online etc just fine. Help!
Koodo phone protection plan
I have been having issues with ny Samsung Galaxy S20+ in the last month. When the phone was purchased in 2020, I opted in for the protection plan ($9 monthly). Now I can and may claim and it looks like they will be sending a replacement, with a cost of course. My question is, is there a way to keep my current phone and not have to send it back? I have some very important data on my phone and not really wanting to go through transferring it and such. Thanks!

I recently bought the iPhone 13 when it was only for $98.00 plus tax upfront only to discover today that it’s on for $0.00 upfront. Anyone know if I should waste my time trying to get a credit for it seeming it’s been like 3 days since I’ve ordered my phone or is just a waste of time to even try to talk to someone about it.
Will close account be effective immediately or until end of billing cycle?
I’m a monthly plan koodo user and currently in Canada, but will move to another country next month. I’m hoping to close my account before I leave but also want to continue using all the services up until when I arrive at the new country. So was wondering if closing account will be effective immediately or will it be applied at the end of the billing cycle? If the closing will be effective immediately, is there anyway I can continue using my phone until I arrive at the new country? Do I need to switch from monthly plan to prepaid plan for this? Thanks!
Moved to Austrlia - why won't Koodo let me transfer my number to another provider?
I moved to Australia in December so I need to transfer my phone number to another provider, and I have been trying to do that since January.Whenever my new provider sends a port request, Koodo rejects the request with the reason being “did not approve confirmation request”. Well out of 10+ port requests I have received only three approval text messages. The first message said I did not need to reply, which was obviously false. The second and third messages arrived at 1:15 AM and 3:15 AM when I was sleeping. Since there is only a 90 minute window to reply, I was not able to approve the transfer at those times. I have not received a transfer approval text since February 2nd, despite repeated transfer requests.I have tried phoning Koodo, and of course it is impossible to talk to a human being. The customer service line just redirects you to the digital rep. The digital rep is useless for this problem. I have tried scheduling a callback multiple times, but Koodo will not call me, just send
Looking to transfer ownership.
Hello,My grandmother is the owner of the account and we currently have 4 different numbers on our account.I'm just wondering if it's possible to take 1 of the 4 accounts and transfer it to a new account so it's on a seperate account.Example: I'm on the account and I would like to have my own account from now on.
all calls do not connect. text works
Try to call out nothing.....texting works. three bars go to call zero bars. coverage map says I am covered for calls. settings are lte 2g 3g auto no other options. volte is on but I dont have data in my plan. consistent not just today or last week all the time in the area I am in. why should I pay for full service. I have voip but it buffers so I cannot call for support. 1 hr to nearest kiosk.
Spam call that changes phone number every time
Recently, I have been receiving tremendous amount of spam calls. I have to tried to block the number each time, but it seems like the phone number changes slightly (see the last four digits) each time. Is there something I or Koodo can do? The call control function is not an option because I do have to work with my phone all day.me source changes in every call (see attached)

I currently have phone service with Koodo under a post paid account. That account is in my now ex's name. There is no tab for the phone. I own it outright.How do I go about setting up a service account in my name. What is required to bring my own phone to a new post paid account? Is a credit check required or is that only to purchase a new phone?Would I require a new SIM card? Can I keep my same phone number? Any information would be most appreciated. Thank you
How does pay-per-use work?
I would like some clarification on how pay-per-use works. I am Canadian travelling to the states for a few weeks and will have wi-fi most of the time. I am not interested in calling or sending SMS (and I don’t want to pay for Easy Roam), but would still like to receive any missed messages. If I take my phone off of airplane mode, are there any charges? Am I charged to receive text messages? Or are the pay-per-use charges only if I make calls, turn on my data or send SMS messages myself? I want to ensure there are no unexpected fees over the course of my trip. So, if I take my phone off airplane mode but don’t send out anything or use data, will I be charged in any way?
Not receiving short codes from banks, facebook, skipthedishes, etc.
I ported my phone number from Zoomer to Koodo yesterday and since then I am not receiving some short codes from my bank, facebook, and a few other companies. I am able to receive private text messages and some short codes from different companies like Urban Planet and Costco Opticals. I have called Koodo, reset my network, restarted my phone and turned on/off airplane mode but nothing seems to be working. What is the problem? Does it normally take some time for short codes to work again? If so, how long will it take? It’s been 24 hours so far.
