The function to download old bills in .pdf format does not work. I’ve tried multiple browsers, multiple unzip apps and even tried one at a time. Can’t say I’m super surprised by this given that KVA is still a thing despite being a terrible service. Anyone have the same issue?
Avoid using Xiaomi 11 ultra in Canada. Frequency bands are not available and LTE/5G speed sucksI tried Bell too, nothing helps.Did all troubleshootings etc
As the title states koodo keeps messaging me at inappropriate hours. I got the data rollover plan 5 months ago, they send you a text every month to tell you how much of your data rolls over to the next month. So in 5 months I've recieved 5 of these texts now, their times are: 2:23am, 1:43am, 2:57am, 2:13am and 3:29am. These are not urgent messages and can wait until I'm awake. The koodo rep said there was nothing they could do, their manager said there's nothing they could do. They said it's "their system". Yes it is, but somebody programmed that. It would be super easy to just add a "during business hours" clause to the data rollover texts. Please do. I'm sure your CEO wouldn't keep a service that woke him up randomly between 1 and 4am once a month.
When I was with Telus, they had an excellent international plan that included the Philippines. Koodo! Please add Philippines to your international plan. You are charging 2.50$ per minute and this is absolutely ridiculous!
Sell certified pre owned phones that actually work or replace the ones that don’t. Biggest rip off.
There should only be ONE Koodo Assist! The first question or filter should then be Prepaid vs Postpaid. As a new customer, I had NO IDEA that there were TWO Koodo Assists. Who came up with that brainchild? If you try to use the postpaid Koodo Assist but are a prepaid customer, it guides you to log in to initiate a callback BUT once logged in, NOTHING! And there is NO CLUE that you have done something wrong! And when calling the Prepaid tel # it tells you to use Koodo Assist to get a callback but does NOT tell you there are 2 different ones, nor how to find it.For a newbie this is TERRIBLE because there is NOTHING to inform you that there is a DIFFERENT KOODO ASSIST to use for Prepaid vs Postpaid, so I went around in circles, without the ability to reach Koodo Customer Service (and no I could not use 611). I had to call TELUS and ask them to direct me to Koodo (which turned out to be POSTPAID). They then had to route me to PREPAID. THAT took a whole HOUR! Solution:merge Prepaid & Postpaid Koodo Assist... and the first prompt should be to choose Prepaid vs Postpaid - problem solved IF NOT, the messages EVERYWHERE should make clear there are two and how to access the appropriate one.
I was just informed of Koodo’s Call Control service to screen away robodialers by asking the caller to press a number that is randomly selected by the Call Control service: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/call-controlIt sounds like a great idea. My only hesitation is that I don’t necessarily know who might legitimately robodial me. I can’t white-list them ahead of time. Some callers are important (hospitals, professional organizations). Unless the screening process sends them to voicemail, I won’t become aware of them. Can the Call Control service be further developed to record the caller as voicemail? This feature can be user-enabled.There is the real risk that the caller’s automated self identification won’t be captured in a normal voicemail recording because they usually introduce themselves at the beginning of the robodialer’s announcement. But this can be solved by having the recording commence from the beginning of the call, even before the Call Control service asks the caller to press a randomly selected number.
Currently Koodo does not offer 5G service. Why not make it available as an add on for $5 a month?
This area would be for multiple purposes:service announcements to mention Self-Serve downtime for maintenance / upgrades etc for announcing promotions ideally, one could subscribe to the thread to receive email notifications (alternative would be to use a website monitoring service that will identify changes and send out an email notification, e.g. Blogtrottr.com) other Koodo Mobile announcements
Android 13 made improvements to prevent data leaking when using an always-on VPN. Unfortunately it seems that a few carriers globally were relying on bugs in previous versions on Android to allow always-on VPN’s to connect to the data network, and Koodo was one of the carriers with IPv6 misconfigured. Examples here:https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/wpcy0n/psa_dont_upgrade_to_android_13_if_you_use/ghkhkThere are two work-arounds:Disable the always-on VPN, disconnect entire from the Koodo network, re-connect without VPN then re-enable VPN. Super annoying because I travel through areas where my connection drops on a daily basis (on top of the service at my house not being great) so I have to do that rigmarole multiple times a day (plus leaking data). Create a new APN that is a copy of the stock Koodo APN, except force APN protocol and APN roaming protocol to IPv4 only. This works but took a lot of digging to figure out, not sure if the average user would get this far. It’d sure be nice if the engineers at Koodo/Telus fixed their IPv6 connection protocol so it works properly, like it does with other carriers.
You guys really expect me to Pay you for services that you have not provided? }}. after dolling out 1000$ over 4 months. you’re going to keep me disconnected ? what, you’re “closed”. ? isn't that always the case?? You're service is abusive and reprehensible.
The Easy Roam pages do not work very well. This is partly due to the instructions and partly due to pages that fail to load or have different links/buttons on them than stated in the instructions.Below I have copied the instructions as they are and made suggestions for correction or ways to get things to work when they appear to fail. The current instructions…Only Authorized users are able to add Easy Roam to an account.Log in to your Self Serve account. From the Self Serve dropdown menu, select Mobile services On the Mobile services page, select "Travel with Easy Roam" On the Easy Roam page, select the "Add to plan" button You're good to go! You can now use your Koodo phone while travelling abroad.Note: If you don't want to use Self Serve, you can always text ROAM to 7626 or get help from Koodo Assist to activate Easy Roam. Would work better for people it if looked like the following:Only Authorized users are able to add Easy Roam to an account. Log in to your Self Serve account. From the Self Serve dropdown menu, select Mobile services. NOTE: If Page fails to load Choose Mobile Services again! On the Mobile services page, select "Travel with Easy Roam" ….WAIT!!! or click “Details” button if available. On the Easy Roam page, select the "Add Easy Roam” button You're good to go! You can now use your Koodo phone while travelling abroadNote: If you don't want to use Self Serve, you can always text ROAM to 7626 or get help from Koodo Assist to activate Easy Roam.
Koodo's main roaming partners in the US are T-Mobile, which still supports some older 3G connections and AT&T, which requires VoLTE (voice over 4G, often marketed as high definition calling).Koodo supports VoLTE but only for certain phones and NOT AT ALL for pre-paid customers. The phone models supported by Telus and the US carriers don't overlap 100% either. I headed south with an older LG V20 and a more modern LG Velvet which BOTH AT&T and Telus support. In an area where T-Mobile has good service (Philadelphia airport), the older Koodo phone performed OK, but that only built some false confidence and expectations.Landed further south, where AT&T is more common, both phones would kick in, then post a notification that "services are temporarily not available" every 10 seconds or so. This bouncing back and forth may explain why some users are complaining of phantom roaming charges near the border. The only way to get any peace was to shift to airplane mode, which defeats the whole purpose of roaming.Koodo should consider blocking AT&T roaming on prepaid entirely, since even if you have a 100% compatible phone, AT&T roaming will not work. Customers should also be aware that roaming signals may be de-prioritised by US carriers. At first it was a struggle to get a usable signal except in dense urban settings. That problem magically disappeared when I bought a prepaid SIM and plan from AT&T.Needless to say, the US plan is full-featured and less expensive than the equivalent Canadian one.
Hi everyone I just wants to mention, that if you have charges for a third party vendor on your bill, are charges that are no from Koodo, are some premium text messages , or are some web sites you visit and by accident you make the suscribtion. If you call Koodo they will no be able to remove charges or apply credit, if you are looking to cancel suscribtion or get the credit or remove charges, you can follow this steps: FIRST you need to send a text to a short code number 5415 with the word STOP, you will recieve a notification saying suscription was cancel, you will have the name for the company and you can call them to get refund. SECOND if on the notification for cancelation you didnt get any number or name for the company, you can contact Koodo, and ask if they can contact that company to get credit, if you ask koodo to apply credit they will no apply it, because is no a koodo service, though charges was reflected on koodo bill. THIRD once they contact company to get credit for you, or you can them directly, you need to wait until you next bill to check credit, if you ask for get credit inmmediately will be no possible, bill with charges was already generated.I leave you the idea so you don't get stressed calling koodo, and it's easier for everyone
