Easy Roam Instrucstions

The Easy Roam  pages do not work very well. This is partly due to the instructions and partly due to pages that fail to load or have different links/buttons on them than stated in the instructions.

Below I have copied the instructions as they are and made suggestions for correction or ways to get things to work when they appear to fail.

The current instructions…

Only Authorized users are able to add Easy Roam to an account.

  1. Log in to your Self Serve account.
  2. From the Self Serve dropdown menu, select Mobile services
  3. On the Mobile services page, select "Travel with Easy Roam"
  4. On the Easy Roam page, select the "Add to plan" button
  5.  You're good to go! You can now use your Koodo phone while travelling abroad.

Note: If you don't want to use Self Serve, you can always text ROAM to 7626 or get help from Koodo Assist to activate Easy Roam.

 

Would work better for people it if looked like the following:

  2.    From the Self Serve dropdown menu, select Mobile services.   NOTE: If Page fails to load Choose Mobile Services again!
  3.   On the Mobile services page, select "Travel with Easy Roam"  ….WAIT!!! or click “Details” button if available.
  4.    On the Easy Roam page, select the "Add Easy Roam”  button
  5.  You're good to go! You can now use your Koodo phone while travelling abroad

Note: If you don't want to use Self Serve, you can always text ROAM to 7626 or get help from Koodo Assist to activate Easy Roam.

I’d say the issue here is self serve not working properly 100% of the time, and not that the help articles need to be updated for work arounds.
Do know though that the team is aware of a good chunk of self serve errors and have actively been working to fix them over the past few months.

In fact as stated in my comment… Sometimes when Mobile services is chosen from the Self Serve dropdown menu, the Mobile services page fails to load.

As well, when"Travel with Easy Roam" is clicked nothing appears to happen or it takes considerable time for anything to happen.

If or when the "Travel with Easy Roam" page appears it may or may not have a "Details" button and it certainly does not have an "Add to Plan" button. It has an "Add Easy Roam" button.

The instructions are incorrect in those ways.

Modifications suggested in lines 2, 3 and 4 below would be helpful to those trying to add Easy Roam:

Sorry for typo in subject of my comment...I entered Easy Roam Instrucstions. How can I correct that?
