I keep getting too many spam/scam emails in my SMS, and I would like to have some means to block them entirely. I request Koodo add in a feature, either paid or unpaid, I really don’t care which, that let’s us turn off the ability to receive emails in SMS/MMS, blocking them altogether.

This should be a total no-brainer. I have call control on my account, it works great. Why we don’t have the same for text - esp. since all this damn spam is coming from an email address, is beyond me
It is very excessive and making me think I should switch carriers. They need better ways to prevent email to text spam!! Other carriers can do it just fine

You are able to do this, you just need to get in touch with a rep to put the block on for you!

Do you know if they can do this for prepaid? I am on postpaid, but my husband is on Prepaid and we get about the same amount of these email texts (which is alot).

I am not too sure but let me flag a rep for you and see if that can be done for Prepaid too!

I have the same problem. Too many unwanted/unknown SMS messages coming in. How can I block those?
We have removed the capability to receive SMS from all email addresses from your lines. Please restart your devices as this change should come into effect almost immediately. If you ever need to receive a text message from an email address, you’ll need to contact us to reactivate this feature.
