I’m also struggling! I have the Koodo VoLTE Access add-on on my account, but when I check my watch settings it says “No carrier supported, so you can’t add an eSim”. I have a Pixel 2 Watch and I thought for sure that would be supported :( It does have the latest wear OS

Ultimately though it was my fault as I should have done my due diligence.  Still going to stick with Koodo though. The support here from the responses was suburb. It really picks up what can fall through the cracks.

It could be the cross brand thing Dani. If you have a Samsung phone and pixel watch then not All features may work. Hope you figure it out.

Pixel watches aren’t supported at this time.

Nah I have a Pixel Watch and Phone so it shouldn’t be that!

This feels like a bit of a soft rollout.

It is not really advertised.  Support of devices is limited.  Overall support and info is limited.

Thanks for keeping this thread updated, it was the first I found and I've been following it for a while.

I was able to activate my Pixel Watch 3 using my Pixel 8 phone today, so looks like it has been rolled out @Leif1, if you haven't seen it in other threads :)

How did you do it? If I go into my watch settings on my Pixel 8 pro, it still says “carrier not supported”

if i knew that it would be difficult setting up any smartwatch plan i wouldn’t even dare to. Got the cheapest postpaid plan from Koodo that has the call and text feature. They assured me that even with that plan the smartwatch plan of $10 will work. After numerous calls and confirmation about the plan i had no one could solve my issue of why it’s not adding up to my postpaid plan. went to the store, they advised me to just update the OS for both phone and watch. Went again for a second time with both gadgets updated and lo behold a different agent told me i can’t add the watch to the plan UNLESS i have the shareable expensive plan of 70 dollars and UNLESS i got the watch from them!! i was just too furious at this point that i canceled my postpaid connection since i kept getting different answers from multiple departments without any concrete solution.

Did they reference where that requirement of $70 is? Right now Koodo’s most expensive plan is $60. I just read through the entire smartwatch FAQ and I don’t see a minimum plan amount requirement to get the smrtwatch plan other than it must be a postpaid account. I do know that currently you have to go to a store to purchase.

I can flag a rep to confirm specific details, if you like?

thanks but i have lost faith in their cs support. Multiple calls and their reps keep telling me that the lowest postpaid plan will work out and then when you go to the store they will also tell you that it’s not possible so i guess no one’s really knowledgeable about it. or maybe they just want the watch to be bought from their shop to make it easier for activation.

I went to a Telus store in Etobicoke today, and got a terrific deal on a Galaxy Watch 7 LTE 44mm.  $2 a month on my Tab!  The standard $10 for the OneNumber service, and 50% off the activation fee (normally $70, which is a ridiculous fee to begin with).  Basically $48 for the watch.
