I want an additional sim on my current line only for data

Your current line or account? You cannot have two sim cards for one line. You can get the tablet plan if you specifically need data, although it’s meant for tablets. If you need more than 4gb for something, I would just get the 20gb for 39 plan available as a second line. There are other options, but what are your data requirements?
