Adding Children

I just joined Koodo and want to add 2 additional lines, one for each of my children. Do I enter the child’s name for Billing/Shipping info and mine for credit card? Or do I put my name and update for ‘call display name’ later?

I want their names to be the ones on call display for their own phone numbers.

Also note that if you are ordering online, you need to make sure your account is active first (your receive a self serve confirmation email), then you can add additional lines.

 

If you don't do this first you will have different lines under different accounts, which becomes a huge mess if you also used the same email.

 

When you want to add a line, you need to make sure you are logged into your account in self serve, then select a plan to add as a new line

Koodo doesn’t have the option to setup separate names for call display. The options are either no name, or the account holders name.
 

Can I choose the name that will be shown?

Sorry, your display name can’t be customized. The name that will be displayed will be the name that you used to create your Koodo account.”

No, it should be your name. If you wanted your child name, they should have a separate account under their name. (which might not be possible if they cannot pass the credit check)

Can anyone confirm that I would put my children’s names as the Billing/Shipping at the first page (screen shot below) so that it is their name on the Call display? And then my name for credit card?

No, as mentioned above, it is not possible to customize names if you are adding lines.

They would each have to have their own account which means they would each need their own credit check.

@Dani5465 please refer to Allan’s reply above.  Call Display name cannot be customized.  Either it is no name or the name of the Account Holder.  The individual line holder name will not be displayed if they are not the holder of the entire account.
