"Overcharge return"

I got a text from 1(999)999-9999 saying they were returning an “overcharge” amount. Is this a legit refund, or a scam?

What was the full content of the text? If possible can you share here?

Anyway, from your description, it seems to be a spam text.

Definitely a scam, lots going around right now. Don’t click links from unknown numbers like that

I clicked the link from the text, but realized when it loaded my bank page it was a scam. No info was added. Can they still get information?

If you haven’t logged in or provided any additional information, no harm would be done. If it’s a personalized link you would have “confirmed” that your number exists, but that’s about it.
