Bought an Apple Refurbished iPhone 12 Pro and upgraded my plan to a 5g speed 60 gig plan . Question I am asking is I have the original sim card in my iPhone 8 and it does work on 4g obviously so I am reading it will work for 5G as well. Do i need a new sim card for the new iPhone or don't worry about it everything will work fine.

You can use the old SIM card into the new phone. iPhone 8 doesn’t have 5G antennas so it couldn’t work on a 5G network but the iPhone 12 Pro should.
As well, make sure you reset network settings and update it to the latest iOS
