Important to analyze your mobile usage. There is no one universal answer.
For short term on post-paid, Easy Roam, though watch out for the new monthly cap which is much steeper than it used to be.
If you are on prepaid (or not yet a customer), that is a valid alternative. You buy the US boosters you need as you go, easy top up on-line. No drbitrary daily fee. Boosters do not expire as long as your account is active. Been doing that for 6+ years with no problems or surprises at all.

I'd consider a local sim if you are gonna be in the US for over 5 days are you are able to rely on just data for your needs
