Phone Stolen! Need urgent help changing Sim number


I went out to the koodo shop and got a new sim card. I went to self-serve to change the sim number but am getting this message: “ Your email address must be active for 48 hours. To continue, please choose the Text option. “


I have been a Koodo customer for years with the same email. I need to activate urgently tonight - I tried making a callback schedule, the guy said he’d transfer me to a technician. I heard waiting music and then the call just ended.

 

Edit: Unbelievable, I got another callback scheduled and this time it didn’t even make it past the first menu - it just ended on me immediately. This is horrible support.

Does the rest of self serve work for you? Just the sim swap is giving you this error?

 

In the mean time I would schedule another callback. But I will flag a rep as well.

 

Also keep an eye on the usage section to see if the sim is actively being used. EDIT: are you able to suspend the sim and report as stolen in self serve?

Yes I originally suspended it but then unsuspended so I could change my sim card number for my phone. Now I am getting this problem and the callbacks keep failing or they try transferring me to a technician and it never goes through. I scheduled around 4 callbacks and no I am not kidding - you can check my chat history. First one technician failed, second one I received a call but then it just ended on me, third one again it asked me to put in 1, I put in 1 and it played music and ended again. I am now on my fourth call and I’m listening to waiting music for a technician. Like literally insane, I will likely cancel off this support alone once I get my number and phone sorted for the interim - what kind of support is this

The issue has now been solved but that was a horrible experience
