Hey,

 

I switched from a 4G plan with Speed Boost to a 5G plan and chose the data rollover perk.  Got the plan change e-mail instantly but so far it doesn’t seem that anything has changed.  Still only getting LTE despite having 5G enabled on my Note 20 Ultra, and the account page is showing the 5G plan but speed boost is still there.  Already tried rebooting a few times and no change.  What is going on?

Nope, the only time I’ve ever connected to 5G since I switched to the newer plan was tonight around the Eaton Centre in Toronto

 

Before I thought it might be a problem with my phone but I guess Koodo/Telus towers must be configured differently down there or they are testing something?  Other times I’ve been in that area in the past month I didn’t get 5G either. 

 

Anyone from Koodo/Telus able to look into this?


You are likely to have better luck speaking with friends and family on Koodo/Telus and see if they can get 5G in the area.  Or visit a Koodo/Telus store in the area

If you are using an Android phone, download the netmonster app from Google Play. It should be able to scan available bands in your area.
