30-Day Europe Travel Pass

Hi,

I arrived more than a week ago in Europe, more precisely in Portugal. I purchased the 30-Day Europe Travel Pass when I arrived in Portugal. I followed the instructions on Koodo’s travel roaming page. I turned data roaming on. I checked my add-ons and can see that my Europe pass is there. I did receive an email saying that I purchased my 30 day pass but also received an email saying that I would be charged per data usage if I didn’t have the proper roaming plan. I also texted the activation code to 7626 and then received a message saying that I had purchased more data. I find all of this really confusing. I don’t see any billing yet even though I’ve been using my plan for more than a week. I would really like someone from Koodo to confirm that I will only pay for the travel pass once and that I can use my phone worry free.

Hi there,

if the travel pass is appearing in your Koodo self-serve under your plan add-ons, then the pass had been successfully added. You can do this by following the steps in the link and by stopping at step 3. When you check this, does the pass show in your add ons?: Changing your add-ons | Koodo Mobile

You can check your roaming usage through your self serve account as well, it will show the usage for your current cycle. Just note that it may be delayed in reporting the usage, it does not update in real time but usually after a couple of hours. Steps to do this are found here: Why was I charged for Easy Roam? | Koodo Community

With the passes, it may show that you have Roaming in your usage, but when your bill is processed and you have the easy roam travel pass, if the Easy Roam charge dates align with the pass usage, then the charges are filtered out when you receive your bill. Because of this, you won’t see the roaming charges straight away.

The second email you received regarding having the proper roaming plan is an automated communication sent out once you begin to roam. If you have the correct travel pass for the country you’re roaming in, which you do, and it is still active, then you will not be charged for roaming when you receive your bill.

If you’re for some reason charged, and the charges are for when the pass was active, you can dispute the charges here on the community or through your koodo self serve account once the bill is issued. Note that if you begin to roam after your pass has been used up or has expired, then you will be charged the daily roaming fee until you purchase another pass.

Hi @ThePassenger, we can confirm the Europe Easy Roam 30 Day Pass has been active on your line since August 2nd. The welcome roaming message is just a generic notification to let you know you’re roaming and does not contain any information about your actual services.

We’re not seeing any issues on your account that would prevent you from using the Pass, but if you have any questions about your bill once it is issued, please let us know.
