Data will work for some apps but for other apps the data will not load. For example google maps will load but google search will not load.

Did you happen to block the data for Google search?
When you like my post, my boss gives me a raise, my dog is happier and my kids love me more.
Does this happen regardless of being on cellular or WiFi data?
Which apps work and which do not work?
Do more apps work vs not work or the other way around?
What phone do you have?
Have you restarted your phone?
When you go settings>Cellular and scroll down through the list of individual apps, is data enabled for all of these apps?
What are the other apps causing you problems aside from Google search?
