I have been charged $7 for data. I only turned it on to send picture texts which I am not supposed to be charged for. Please refund $7 plus tax. Thank you!

MMS required cellular data to be enabled to be sent so the phone asked you so. If you didn’t want other app to use data, you must restrict them in the phone by playing around with APN (Android only) or get a data block (but allow MMS) from Koodo (not free).

+4MMS itself is free to send/receive. However, once you turned on Data, everything in the phone will access data also.
Could you check the data usage section and see how much data was consumed after you turned on Data?
